Water Technology in Path of Exile

Pretty nifty work.
Now if only the character animations were updated and modernized, because honestly they really hold this game back in a lot of ways. It's why most of melee feels as bad as it does.
Of course this is a pretty massive undertaking so I don't expect it any time soon, but I think it's a bridge the game will have to cross in order for it to grow.
Interesting to see how involved the process is.
But the swimming pool argumentation obviously works in reverse, too. <.<

Will something be done about the Rain effect that cause big FPS loss?

Its cool and all, but when i put water to high quality and walk near water my fps dies. :D but thats not your fault.
mmmh water in poe nowadays. the water really is amazing now, makes so much of the atmosphere of the game. it is making me feel cold and warm at the same time when entering a wharf map and looking towards the sun's reflection in the water.
