Yeah, totally overpriced indeed... now tell me, how much is two stash tabs (currency and quad tab to be specific) compared to, say, D3 + Reaper of souls, huh?
I hope you get what I'm trying to convey here.

But D3 doesn't charge you for skins. In fact, you have in-game "transmogs" that apply a skin from an item onto another.

If anything, everyone should know by now that "free to play" is the more lucrative business when combined with microtransactions.

The fact that people still haven't realized this and keep praising devs for doing it, is... hilarious and sad at the same time.

The free to play you're talking about is pay to win. PoE is one of the only games I can actually think of that 1: doesn't suck and 2: has no pay to win along with being completely free. Maybe Fortnite but they want you to pay $100 for the rest of the game

Pay 2 win only applies to games that are about pvp. POE is not such a game, so it can not be P2W.

That being said, cashing in, gives players a huge advantage here and this are stash tabs. People that pay will have currency tabs, trading tabs and pretty much a tab for everything that drops.

This is a huge advantage and makes POE look bad, compared to games such as D3, where you pay 19 bucks, but then got the ability to actually play trade free, with a free currency tab, transmog system and a total of 10 stash tabs.

GGG should give players the ability to gain tabs by completing challenges or as rewards for a race. I would love to trade all my skins for tabs, sadly it´s not possible.

The currency tab should be a basic feature, not a paid feature.

Skins can cost hundreds of dollars, I don´t care, I wouldnt care about XP boosts, free unique items or whatever. But important game features should be free in a f2p game.

HOTS is still the best F2P on the market, nothing comes even close. You can play without ever paying and you still have access to everything.

Even if you factor in the cost of a few extra stash tabs, a player realistically can manage with just 8-10 and be as optimal as a pack rat who insists on hoarding every scroll fragment that drops.

Yeah, $5, maybe $10 and you have spent all you need to ever on this game. I'm not seeing the greed there.

EA has always been hideous. They just keep getting worse and worse when you think they have reached rock bottom they find a new depth to inhabit.
Censored.

I don´t think you come far with 5 bucks :)

That´s just a single premium tab! Currency, Divination are very much needed and I would say that a player should have round about 10 tabs to be able to store all build enabling items.

We might be talking of 50-100 bucks for all important features at POE. The problem, however, is that you won´t be able to use new additions. What, if they add a new tab, you have to buy it again, even though you already bought the previous version.

It´s a never ending investment and why I dislike cash shops in games, that enable important features. You are just never at a point where you can say "now I can finally play this game without disadvantages, unless I cash in again".

I always preferred paying a sub each month or paying 30 bucks once, but then having all the features for now and in future unlocked.

Guess, the new generation of gamers just feels different, else those F2P games, with cash shop wouldn´t be so successful.

The new generation of gamers don't give a damn about price since they are using their mom's credit card to buy things. Once they get older and have to buy games themselves they will hate these models as much as the rest of us.

cant see why you would hate GGGs model

its pay to look cool

which is great for those on a budget
I dont see any any key!
PoE has loot boxes and charges money to be able to trade. PoE has one of the better f2p models but it still has it's issues.

I'm against f2p altogether. I'd rather just pay a set amount and get the whole game. Like we used to do.

Speak for yourself. You don't speak for me. I pay my own way, and have for many years, I have no problems with GGG's system. I would even buy more stuff I think is really cool.

pretty sure there is no fee to trade

poe has cosmetic boxes, they contain zero loot

if we paid a set amount and "got the game" then GGG would lack the funds to continue development

this system gives them a steady stream of cash and the whales support those who cannot pay

really its quite a good system for all

I dont see any any key!
