Fight against bots
If GGG wants to get rid of the bots... the easiest way for them is to lend their balance team to the maker of those bots
Give it one week and bots wont work anymore ZiggyD is the Labyrinth of streamers, some like it, some dont, but GGG will make sure to push it down ur throat to make you like it

" Every time someone complains about bad RNG in chat now, I'm just gonna respond "yup, you been flagged for botting, and gotten a shadowban. no loot for you!" |

honestly no internet game will ever be able to stop botting completely. its impossible. its like asking the world to not have any crime. good luck.
honestly the genre actually is a decent deterrent to masses of botters already, as is stuff like SSF and even league play. every 3-4 months a brand new start. |

got a bot flag once when I first started playing. I had a really poor character stuck in lvl69- maps and never traded with him. One day I farmed 3 hours with 1 yellow drop. Then I wen't back for league :)
Farming low level maps mindlessly got me there :) Last edited by galuf#4435 on Nov 24, 2017, 1:47:42 PM

" Well, it's just the opposite of Streamer RNG... |

" You don't know the half of it OP. The top, talking about the tip top .1% percent players/clans in most of the major MMO type games have guides in their discord, forums slack or whatever is used for communication. Its a full out guild on how to sustain their account/accounts in that game by running a bot that handles combat and trade in POE. GGG is 100% fully aware of it and they facilitate it, feel free to take a look around not hard to find. In the past, a few streamers have even got a hand slap for RMT on a live stream, but they still play and stream. Hell, one guy even got called out for D2 gold trade right here on POE forums. The balls this guy had, he was selling an item on D2 that he was running a mirror service on.... but yet he still plays and trades/sells on D2. " Hah, nice. Wish that show was still on. POE is missing the most basic barrier for botting, which is a price tag for the game. It certainly doesn't remove the more affluent cheaters, but it works on the first timers and the less knowledgeable cheaters. Didn't they add something years ago to scan programs running? Thanks for all the fish!

" Right, that's why GGG numbers/stats that they post show such a low number of players that make it to maps. The brand new start is where all the $$$ is made. Who's asking GGG to stop it completely????? I think what the OP is trying to say that it's a well-known fact that if you want to bot Path of Exile is one of the best if not the best games to do it in. From what I can tell he is begging GGG to try and do something about it, but WTF do I know. |

" Actually im proud to say after a little investigation of my own a while back.. Its not a matter of time at all. In fact from what ive read its god damn near instant. I checked those sites a couple years back when D3 was infested with Bots from demonbuddy (Much like it is again now) and it was kinda funny.. When you go to their forum for the D3 bot everyone is pretty much bragging what a joke warden is and how its basically a free for all with the occasional person posting about they got banned.. no ban wave in years ect. POE bot forum on the other hand.. Well posts there were pretty much exactly the opposite. Everyone pretty much posting "How the fuck do you guys bot this game?" "I just got all my accounts banned almost instantly when i turned this thing on" And stuff like that with the occasional person posting to be able to bot in POE you pretty much need to go out of your way to avoid detection and even then... its a roll of the dice. Its possible but there is a lot more that goes into getting away with it than just buying the bot and turning it on thats for damn sure. Not gonna lie i smiled a lot reading those forums. It was quite eye opening. Company like Blizzard cant seem to do shit with their bot problem other than try and take it to court but then again thats their own fault because when you only ban in waves every few years well... you get what you put in. While apparently GGG not only have their game pretty damn tight they dont even have to do the court route or huge waves and its all pretty quiet as well. They do it apperenly on a per account basis and seem to have much better success according to those forums. Of course there are some very computer savy types who do bot POE and actually get away with it but, they are so few and far between it seems in comparison to D3 it almost doesn't matter. But the reality is NO company can completely stop ALL bots.. but from just what i read in those forums way back when im pretty confident GGG at least do what they can and keep it to a minimum. And this information comes straight from the assholes who try to get away with it. Now RMT.... well that's a totally different story. And one i think GGG at some point is going to have to find more ways to address before it becomes a bigger problem than it already is. Unfortunately the only way D3 was able to stop this issue was disable trading which i dont think is an option for POE. I would also assume the few that do manage to get around detection for bots would also be some the same ones facilitating the RMT issues as well. There is a fine line between Consideration and Hesitation. The former is Wisdom, the latter is Fear. Last edited by Demonoz#1375 on Nov 27, 2017, 5:22:59 PM
