Fight against bots

Hello there, so Blizzard managed to takedown few bots from Bossland (honorbudy etc..) But they still sell bot for PathOfExile (Exilebuddy) Are you guys going to fight against them too ? Or any other plans against these unfair practices ?

Thank you in advance for opinions :)

As both Blizzard and Activision have more lawyers on their payroll than GGG has employees, I don't think they have the intention nor the muscles do battle bot'ing with anything else than their code.

GGG just ban the people using the bots, it's just a matter of time.

They don't often post about it, but they ban pretty much at will. If you see a bot, report it. Don't expect a medal. Don't even expect a reply. They take care to make the bot's "life" as miserable as possible. They don't even always ban. They sometimes let the bot run with a "bad drops" flag set on it... wasting the time of the bot's owner.

I hate botters, it's the same as cheaters. Blizzard may have more money for lawyers, but that does not matter, because D3 is dead. PoE lives and here is what to fight. How do I know that someone is playing bot?

You can't possible know if someone is "playing bot" or not. You simply don't have access to enough information.

If your goal is to report them, just flag anyone you think might be a bot, but be aware: you will almost certainly flag more genuine players than botters. OTOH, support and friends will sort that all out.

I wonder if my account got "flagged" ...I've had horrible drops and luck for many years now >_<

I remember voidhelm being one of my favorite items back in beta because it increased all my resists :P

My finds have only gotten better by a little bit.

I also find it hilarious when people say, "you should have X amount of life by act Y" because I have never had more than 1500... on my tankiest char that was level 78 or so... Yeah... I don't find good gear. ever.
Pretty much knew that someone would come by and claim to be flagged. It's inevitable whenever the subject gets brought up.
The bad drops flag is hilarious. They should also add an "always gets tar" flag.

Not just that, but Chris wrote one time that if a bot is detected and flagged, they disable trade on that account, but don't ban - just to steal some "time" :)
