As someone who's bought a few packs, I'm all good with people who "freeload" contributing to balance discussions.
One of the perks of the game not being pay to win is that our play experience is mostly identical, and that means that their opinion is just as valid as mine.
Yes, I agree that if people get countless hours of play out of the game they should contribute what they can monetarily, but even if they never do, they are still contributing to the size of the playerbase, and that's still important.
In fact: one could see a contribution to balance/game discussion as a meaningful contribution as well.
It doesnt take microtransactions to be able to appreciate current game/meta concerns, and I like it that way.
I shudder to think that non-constructive complaints from paying players get given any more credence than those from non-payers.
Most people have supported with quite a bit of their money and aren’t freeloading like you though. Thats why people are so critical and they absolutely have the right to be as paying customers.

PoE was suggested on the D3 forums back in 2012 as an ARPG alternative and the cheapest beta keys where only 5$. A lot of changes since then, both in content and game mechanics.

We've been working on Path of Exile for five years now, and are incredibly excited (and a little nervous) to be finally sharing it with people, especially other fans of action RPGs.
This is a genuine product testing beta, not a 'marketing beta'. We're a small indie team that wants your honest feedback. The game will continue to change regularly based on your opinions.
Path of Exile is currently unfinished. We have many months of changes planned, including revamps of almost every major system in the game. Some large features are not enabled yet and will be during the Closed Beta. We intend to openly discuss our plans for these systems so that we can get quality feedback. There is currently no NDA in effect. You may talk about whatever you'd like. You may stream gameplay or post screenshots and videos without permission.
Please do not share your account. We periodically allow you to invite some friends to play with. If you abuse these rules we reserve the right to remove your access.
