" Some of us can :/ Wish I hadn't taken a several year break between closed beta and friggin' Atlas. Also REALLY wish I had ponied up the little extra to get the Closed Beta Supporter title... " It's not been all bad before Atlas. There was the pain in the neck/ass of desync and rubberbanding until Lockstep but back in the early years we had a more strategic arpg that has been lost over time due to power creep... hell it's been more like a flood that allows for frickin uber dps builds and 2 minute map runs. If you have been playing since CB at least you should have a good stash of all kinds of unique gear now to try out a plethora of builds with... unless you are a player that only plays the challenge leagues and thinks standard is garbage. The one thing I did back in CB times was instantly recognize that the Kiwi pet as a limited time available pet would be an instant symbol in town for all to know when I started playing so I bought a Closed Beta Supporter pack to get the pet and the forum title to prove I started playing in Dec. of 2012. That also got me the points to buy more stash tabs. The OP thinks that players that never buy any mtx should never complain here. But who is seriously playing PoE with only 4 stash tabs? None that I know of. But "free to play" isn't really free if you are serious about long term playing as you can't do that with only 4 stash tabs. GGG knows this and it's why stash tab bundles are the biggest mtx revenue. But if the saying "you get what you pay for" is true then just about everyone who posts has the right to complain or suggest improvements to PoE. Probably most of the "free loaders" are kids that play a few hours and leave, never to return. Free to play games always get tons of looky-loos. "You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..." Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration. " Yea, if I bought a supporter pack I would have probably liked to have Closed Beta, too. All I have is account creation date and a amulet to say I've played that long. I have spent money, though. But back then there didn't seem a real need cause there just wasnt much going on in the game so I had mule accounts like D2 instead of the need for spending any money on the game. Nowadays there is so much stuff/currency and nice pages(all the currency ones, and quad tabs) that I dont see how anyone plays without at least a currency tab, if not a few premiums. Thats where I have spent all my money; on stash pages. I don't care much for MTX or things like that, just actual use purchases. But, I'd say just like any "free" game, GGG has gotten far more money out of me than if they released the game and acts with price tags instead. I have spent more money on PoE and LoL than I have any game franchise besides WoW, and those are "free" games. Now thats the real cash cow. All those 15 dollar months and expansions. |

I payed 20$ for Diablo 2 and played it for 9 years +
Not having a suport title =/not supported the game Many of my friends including me never bought a suport pack but spended 10 times more money then you on actual stuff like stash tabs , armors etc. And 99.9% of games nowdays are free most with p2win features , but in EVERY CASE non paying players are as important if not more then money suporters. Ussualy this games are sustained by the BIG WHALES people who spend insane amount of money,BUT they only play because of the active comunity,poe will be a dead town without the 90% active players who never spended anything on the game. So yeah nonpaying players are keeping POE alive So they have all rights to give feedback and Complain. I have 783 builds in my poe.planner
I played 3 of those in the last 2 years Please more 1 shot mechanics so i reduce it to 1 . Thank you. |
