How good is Brass Dome?
I really dont like that chest. Kombat said he used it for guardians with the crit mod on the map... fair play thats a use for it I guess. Personally for me its a skin transfer item, and Im a guy who actually likes using armour, its just a bad chest with too many horrible downsides. Armour is awesome, but not when it starts costing you life, movespeed and block.
" 200k dps is alright, nothing wrong with that, its a decent amount. What I would say though is that setup, youre giving away over 100 flat life on the chest + 42% increased life from jewels. As good as armour and black are, life is your primary defense, if you can stack secondary defenses on top of it then awesome, but Im not sold on stacking defenses instead of life to such a vast degree. " I think youd be surprised, 80k armour is an awful lot of armour. Guardians often have an elemental part to their attacks, the physical damage they do is still vast compared to 99.99% of things in the game but its probably clocking in around 4k to 5k on the phys part. 80k armour would give you 61% physical damage reduction against a 5k hit, thats an awful lot of damage reduction. To put that in perspective, if you were wearing a lightning coil, you had your 3 endurance charges up and you used a basalt flask and a taste of hate flask at the same time that would still be less physical damage reduction against a 5k damage hit than 80k armour on its own. So the idea that monsters like guardians who do high phys damage penetrate any amount of armour till its worthless, its a complete myth. For small amounts of armour thats true, if you have 5k armour then yes, it basically doesnt exist. If youre talking about having strong armour like 30k+, it does an awful lot against something like a guardian. Even 30k armour against a guardian hitting you for 5k phys is comparable to wearing a lightning coil and having a taste of hate flask popped at the same time. I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

I had been theory crafting a bit with it.
It was actually not a bad idea with soul of yugul for reflecting freezes. (The reduced block chance actually allowed me to reflect more freezes). Brass dome/formless inferno/kaltensoul/auxium/battering ram gloves and five-six reckless defense jewels. Purity of fire/purity of lightning for the extra elemental defense. |

Finally someone debunks the " lolarmor " myth these people love chuckling about like neckbeards. I'm able to survive atziris attacks on my jugg thanks to this chest piece, I don't believe the world-wide crit-rate for mobs is only 5%.

This is an old thread I made way back. Tbh there are much better ways of getting crit immunity than Brass Dome these days. Ahn's Contempt + Belt of the Deceiver + Indomitable node = 100% less damage from crits, and then you can use the new crab armor. It has 2000+ flat armor + life + res + bleed immunity.

Hi guys. I play double strike champion with Loreweave body armour. Wanna try 2 other body armours. Old good belly and brass dome. What you think would b better? Iam mostly farming shaper and his guardians.

" Both bodies are good but I would go for Brass dome unless you have block or have other source of reduced critical hits. |
