I cant understand why u guys even argue about a troll.
he doesnt even explains what he means just "is blizzard ccopying??" cmon i can say too "is ferrari copying lamborghini? because they use 4 wheels too now !!" btw path of exile has not reinvented the wheel, there are many things i see here, which i ve already seen in other games. There are not much new things in games these days... and while i still like poe, i prefer d3 a lot. especially the idea of not having specced your hero wrong! i mean whats bad about it?? do you really want to play your hero for months and then u realize "ohh goosh my build suxx on higher levels" and start it all over again? Or even better, a patch makes your skill useless and your skillbuild suxx now ! and tbh people u cry for having less skill build possibilities in diablo3, but i say thats wrong. U have a lot of possibilities and because u can switch shit all the time u will even try them! here u have to spend too many hours creating a new hero or use expensive respecc orbs. And on top i guess u have to choose some specific paths in PoE or u have no chance on higher levels. but dont get me wrong, i m not hating poe... it has its good game design elements, and there are enough things that blizzard could have done better and even things which are done better by GGG. sorry for bad english but tired and not my native language :) Thanks kalrog for key

" So much wrong in those 2 lines. PoE was announced (as said) in 2010, and was already long in development. Diablo 3 production initially began immediately after the LoD expansion for Diablo 2. FYI, that is in 2001. D3 was officially announced in 2008. Had been in re-production since 2005. Had effectively been announced via leakes in 2006/2007. Considering how big Blizzard is, its pretty sad when it takes them almost 4 years after announcing a game (that has already been in production for 3 years (more if you count the scrapped Blizz North version) to release it. PoE, with a much smaller staff, is going to have gone from announce to release in 2 years :P And has way more innovation going on (innovation makes for more required testing). NewDude: I killed Brutus. Now I have no quest. So what now?
Guy: I guess there are people that NEED quests for direction. Guy2: I always wonder how those people get through life. GuyMontag: They get married. Wives are like quest-givers. |

Well... we can talk about Torchlight.
Developped in 1 year, and 2 years later comes Torchlight 2 with multiplayer support. Or we can talk about Guild Wars 1, 5 years into production. We all received the mail when we joined the beta, "PoE was in production for 5 years". PoE forums ignore list script:
