Poe's ENDGAME Leveling is very COUNTER INTUITIVE.

If only bosses would provide a 25-30% EXP from a map, weighted loot, so definitely better than everthing else that drops by just taking off the table some of the affixes and suffixes that could roll and are inefficient for higher levels, players would feel enticed to prepare themselves and kill them no matter what.

Dunno, we'd probably just farm maps where you can kill the boss right away, like Mesa. Maybe if boss gave awesome rewards but spawned only after killing 75% of map monsters or something, you know, piss him off enough to come out.

Now that would be a great idea.

Make the boss roam the map after/if you completely clear it and you left the arena, making him available to kill only after killing those minimum 75% of monsters from a map or even better, making him enraged if you don't kill anyone else, so the fight's get tougher and not more rewarding...

something they could do is maybe have the boss feed off the mobs, every mob you kill gives you 100% of the mobs xp but it also gives an extra chunk on top, like 25% of the xp it rewards as extra xp into a pool that you get when you kill the boss. That could also work for items, you could give the boss an extra currency drop mechanic where again, each mob you kill in the map feeds a number into a pool that pays off by increasing the quant on that extra currency drop slot when you kill the boss.
I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)
Endgame has ton of possibility. You have to create your own way. If you want to reach lvl 100, be prepared.. it will be long and boring.
Glowing green mouse cursor plz.

Why the hell are we forced into spamming the same mid-high tier fucking map endlessly or beachhead, WHICH IS SO GODDAMM BORING (not even going to go into the merit of ignoring most loot and stuff, which should be part of the fun, not part of the problem) if we want to reach level 100?

Why it's simply much wiser to ignore t15-16 maps (or at least skip some bosses) and shaper/uber atziri because they give awful XP with the bonus of being very likely to kill you instantly if you lag, losing 10% xp... which is about 1-2h of continous leveling.

I like to play against challenges but i'm always feeling forced into shit tier content that makes me sleep on top of the keyboard (if i want to get level 100 one day)? Stupid, very stupid and without any logic or sense.

Similar to my thoughts, although my reaction is that I usually drop the character around level 90 and start a new character. Don't get me wrong, I think PoE has great endgame play compared to other ARPG's but it can still get to be a boring grind after a certain point.

99% of builds can't even do all mid level maps, let's not even mention endgame + bosses are there just to make you lose exp + there are no real benefit in running harder maps yet the risk of dying and losing exp increases greatly = people waddle in mediocrity.

I know, but it could be funnier if the true endgame stuff (aka 15-16 and someone said 17 lol) gave a much better xp/hour than simply spamming the same linear t11-14 or beachhead. Specially because it's much more likely to die doing any of those than said mid-high tier maps.

Exactly so, but where did you get that 99%? I want to know the source. ;p hope it's a very cientifical magazine.
Buff life on the right side of the tree! Just a little! Pretty Please!
