Poe's ENDGAME Leveling is very COUNTER INTUITIVE.
" Like most people with good points in forums, i'm not looking for a workaround, but a fix. I already do that, it's kinda implicit in the OP. Buff life on the right side of the tree! Just a little! Pretty Please!

" Rofl, massive incoming of shitstorm, ragequits and quality/money loss for the devs and the game xD If that happened i would just quit asap and find something else better to do than lose my life time releveling on PoE, which is good, imagine that i would be playing tibia to this day if i didn't lose so much on death xD Not saying that such hardcore gaming is bad, but, considering how much tibia was and is now, it's fair to say that such gameplays are limited to a very small and specific audience which grows shorter by the day... That's why this game has sepparate hardcore leagues, if you think dying is not punitive enough, go play there. =D Leave us alone, mister true hardcore. Buff life on the right side of the tree! " You said it :) Well, except the quality loss, this last expansion has probably hit a new record low in that regard, and the thing is they're most likely so busy with xbox/chine release they aren't managing to fix much. Started a new char some time ago and couldn't get myself to go through that unfinished campaign again so I'm taking a break to avoid ruining my impression of it further. " I dont think the currency is even better tbh. The gear is slightly better, you can find stuff with 48% resist instead of 45%, but thats only at the very highest level. Stuff with 45% resist drops at lvl72, that means it drops from blue mobs in tier 4 maps, you can find boots with 117 life, 30% movespeed, 3x 45% resists in a tier 4 map from virtually anything that drops gear like blues, then what? You get to a guardian map and u can get an extra 3% on those resists? Currency, as far as i know theres 0 difference, theres no increased drop rate, theres no new orbs that drop, theres absolutely nothing making currency more rewarding in any tier of map. I dunno, apart from really high level xp I dont rly see any reason to go beyond like t6/7 maps. I think you can hit about lvl92 or 93 and make all the currency you need just slamming down the first few tiers of yellow maps. I intensively farmed maps in harbinger for about 4 weeks, I got to lvl92, close to 93 I think, got a mirror and 63 exalts sitting over there and vast majority of that was just farming t2 beaches with a bit of t6 and t7 thrown in. I didnt bother going anywhere past that, why would you? What is the point? If youre not going for lvl100 I dont see the point of even going to tier 8s. The reward structure is pathetic tbh. I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

" mirror and 63 exalts? fu dude, just fu. (nothing personal, just jelly to ur luck if thats true) this league i did more than 3k t11-15 maps, and got 6 pure ex drops. all >t10 was chiseled and rolled with packsize. its just fucking impossible to get that amount of currency u named. Or we simply play different games, coz in mine PoE drops are literally shit. Income from simple trading fuses>chaoses>fuses is 100000 times bigger that from doing maps 24/7 |

" +100 to this comment, and the last paragraph with the last line describes perfectly the crisis where 0 interest invested into a better balance regarding danger/reward ratio led PoE. If only bosses would provide a 25-30% EXP from a map, weighted loot, so definitely better than everthing else that drops by just taking off the table some of the affixes and suffixes that could roll and are inefficient for higher levels, players would feel enticed to prepare themselves and kill them no matter what. If only the tier segregation would have an intrinsic bonus, while also providing one for various layouts so you would also be enticed to run with the same "efficiency" no matter if they are linear or labyrinthic, and rely on enticing running the multimodded higher tier maps for an optimum reward ratio not only for loot, but also EXP gain, people might also play highly "rippy" content sooner, as a 10% EXP loss wouldn't feel gamebreaking and making them tortoises forced into their shells... But alas, this is PoE and we're stuck into "If only's" more often than it should... " Snorkle definitely made those from trading, but it also highlights that danger/reward ratio are skewed in PoE in favour of "flipping to the God of profit" instead of having to rely on the help of RNGesus with mainly killing & looting... So why not play safer content and have fun, while feeling the grind for the last few levels is a second "job"? There are no counter arguments that any sane person could provide unfortunately... So much potential wasted because GGG has never learned to make a smooth progression curve from 1 to 100 and prefers to rely on respecs instead of rerolls... " Dunno, we'd probably just farm maps where you can kill the boss right away, like Mesa. Maybe if boss gave awesome rewards but spawned only after killing 75% of map monsters or something, you know, piss him off enough to come out. Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

" Now that would be a great idea. Make the boss roam the map after/if you completely clear it and you left the arena, making him available to kill only after killing those minimum 75% of monsters from a map or even better, making him enraged if you don't kill anyone else, so the fight's get tougher and not more rewarding... " I had 1 exalted orb drop, didnt find a mirror, didnt drop any mirror shards, didnt find any multiple exalt uniques, I basically found hardly anything really, I got a sceptre on 1 atziri run and I got an ignorance on another, that was the sum total of my luck in the atziri runs I did from the her mask div card drops, got maybe 10 flasks, a pair of the boots and a few belts that never sold. Found a nice crt + life amulet and my one really good drop was a random fiend card from a box which obviously cut a days farming off what I needed to get what I wanted from the league. I just sold a ton of little shitball drops. I did unid chaos recipe for the entire stint, picked up every armour scrap and wetstone and did unid 20%q when I could. Sold all the offerings I found from trials, never even did uber lab, didnt even find the 6th trial even if I wanted to do it, which I didnt. Sold prophecies like gracious master and twice enchanted, sold essences, leveled gems in my offhands and sold those, sold breach splinters, div cards, any little shitball thing I found that could sell for 1-10 chaos I sold. Spent virtually nothing on gear, I think I got a bloodseeker for 5c on day 1 or 2, got a shield for 1 chaos, that was literally it I think. Just self found everything else, soon as Id 5L my chest I stopped using any currency and just traded almost every piece of currency into chaos once I had enough for a decent sized trade and used them to buy mirror shards. I got 1 a day basically, you turn in about 30 unid chaos recipes, 20% where possible, thats like 65 chaos. Got maybe 3 offerings, thats 12c. What currency I got? 130 chroms stacked = 10c, I got 34 chisels = 10c, sold a bunch of gear for 1-15 chaos a piece, found some chaos, vendor all my alts to jewellers to fusing, how many I got? 85? Ok theres another 40c. Got a gracious master theres 10c, made a beachhead thats 15c, chances to scours to regreats, got 11 regrets thats another 10c, maybe found 15 chaos myself, ok so how many chaos I got? 220c, buy a mirror shard. Next day just do the same thing again. If you use those chisels, and then you alch the map, and then you look at the mods and is it good quant? Has it got something aids like temp chains u dont wanna run? Whats the boss on this map, are there any mods here that make this guy a nightmare? chaos it a few times... Ok by the time youve done that I just ran over half a t2 beach map already, just while u are bleeding currency into maps, and Ive found an alch, 4 chisels and a chaos, a guy running high maps just spent those standing in his hideout. What gear are people using? 3 exalt son this weapon and then like 10 exalts 6 linking it and then an exalt on the biscos amulet or some gg crit thing and... I spent nothing, my weapon is worth 1 alch and I only paid a handful of chaos for it cause I got it super early league, and it was the only thing I spent money on because Im trashing t2 beach maps, I dont even need gear. I got these rings over there so I got some really nice rings rings I bought in trade. But I bought these to take back to standard after id already got all that big currency, sniping them for what I consider really cheap. These are the rings Im actually wearing on my character... I got a nice pair of gloves and Im actually wearing them, but I only got them right at the end and again it was to take back. The gloves I wore for the time I was farming had something like 12% attack speed, 1 resist and benched 45 life, i found them day 2. I found way better gloves since, many, and I sold them all. I wasnt even playing a good build, physical claw spectral throw with a ranger... its shit, doesnt matter, for mowing down t2 maps you can play a shit build self found. Its fast enough, thats all that mattered. I feel like you dont rly need to buy any gear, spend any real currency rolling maps and you can even just stay in white tier maps. Transmutes and augments, you could go a whole league spending nothing more than the jews/fuse/chroms needed to socket your gear and a trans + an aug for each map, never go beyond tier 2 maps and you can hit lvl93 and make 100 exalts in a month. The whole needing heavy gear, sustaining high maps, multi sextant blocked 100% min/max shaped t11 grinder atlas strats, mega shaper/uber optimal crusher build... none of that means anything unless you either want to have a stack of 5+ mirrors or you want to hit level 100, its all just bullshit people on the forums have talked up to have some kind of significance. The havent built the reward structure in a way where any of this stuff is meaningful outside of massive fyndel style wealth push or lvl100 grind. Rolling maps is meaningless, theres not enough difference between a really hard map and a pissjob 2 mod blue map, not enough difference between a t2 and a t15. I run alched high maps on chars on standard cause its fun and I want to get xp on lvl95, 96, 97 chars, I was even alching (and binding lel) maps in harbinger just because why not? Get a little more loot, have the excess currency sitting around anyway. But its pretty whatever. I made loads of posts about this back in the day, about how the difference between playing hard maps and even white maps is pretty non existent, either map drops are so scarce that you run out using either method or theyre so frequent that you sustain doing either. They havent actually made hard content worth the risk and the investment, they never have and tbh I just got blue in the face saying it on the forums and gave up years ago. Nothings rly changed since. I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)
