Some observations from a lot of beachhead rotations

I'll add an observation of my own, after reaching lv 100 in BH rotations:

9. When you see a Pathfinder with a wand in the group - just leave. Or don't let them in if it's your group. Unless it's somebody you know is nice, chances are it's an asshole who won't wait for everybody to zone in, will run far ahead of the group shooting one KB salvo at each pack he encounters and leaving half of the mobs unkilled in the group's path to further slow everybody else down while he clears and gets xp solo, basically stealing xp from the group. Especially when the group goes for the inner loop: the asshole wander will run and clear the ledges alone before anybody else gets there, every single time. And of course he'll also bitch incessantly at anybody whose skills 'lag' him (because he's playing PoE on a Pentium under Windows 95).

I'm a solo player and almost never group. Beachhead gave me a reason to group a lot and socialize with others. While I was pleasantly surprised by how many people in those groups were really nice, the sheer number of Asshole Wanders was the negative discovery. That build seems to attract the worst of PoE player base.
Beachhead is completely broken. No risk, huge experience reward, huge currency reward, low cost when used in rotations. Whoever is responsible for that map's balance, must be FIRED IMMEDIATELY with the worst possible "commendation" about how he/she did the job.

Really, GGG, it's not even funny.

Mapping in poe takes 0 skill so it's not really a problem having them easy in that sense but having the leagues endgame encounter an easy map with no mods felt pretty flat and was a bit of a let down.

But in saying that, so was the rest of the league, the rewards, the supporter packs, the density and exp nerfs and the rest of the 1k hour balance decisions.

"Rotations". How much, in total, did it cost to get all those beachheads? One beachhead costs 20 chaos, so how much currency was paid for this "free easy" lvl 100?

What about the 99% of players that don't do these rotations? Should they be punished as well, only because you play this game like it's your job?
It does not matter how much GGG nerfs the good stuff, It doesn't matter how hard they make it, people like you will A L W A Y S find a way o level to 100 within a few days. Everquest was RAVAGED by developers listening to the top guild, Legacy of Steal, because these guys kept grinding whatever new, absurd content the devs threw at them with a 24/7 highly organized nolife raid.

Go play incremental games if you want a neverending hamster wheel of grinding.

just did like 7 beachheads on lvl 94. 2 of them crashed on final boss fight, so all i got is 43% exp. Started at 42%. nice.
7x29=203c total cost 1%exp. okay i got some currency from maps, but that is like 30-40c.
yday also did 2 and died for lag in one so lost xp aswell, not gained.

if you ask me its total dogshit, both league and new map. not surprised that 35% ppl left during sep.

Thank the 1k balance team and their decisions that the game is navigating into a new all time low after the biggest expansion Poe has ever seen.

I imagine this makes good business for GGG (not)

They prolly thought it would be a great idea to move the lost xp/lootdrops caused by the overall density nerf to one specific map.

Cause that will teach us players to NOT run ONE map 24/7 - which was the intended goal with that nerf right...


Sry guys. This density nerf + design goal of NOT running ONE map + the existence of BH map = pure frustration and I lost of good portion trust/faith in GGG.
I´d really like to laugh at it, but I cant. This one is to painful.
Its worse than before. Because before that nerf every single player was free to choose a map of his liking. Now the choice is either running boring Beachhead or boring (because empty) maps.

That does not add up. At lv 94 you get 6% xp per BH map run (yes, that is insane). That's 42% from 7 maps. Even if you missed some xp because of the crashes in the boss arena, you should still end up with +35-40%.

If your total gain from 7 maps was 1% then you must have died a bit more than 1 time ;) Complaining that the map is bad xp because you keep dying... /facepalm

Ye a bit more, 2 times :D. Still, crashig 2 of 7 and lagging to death another 2 thats dogshit.
