[3.0] Crypt0's Heavy DPS RF Build - 1.57M DoT DPS [Berserker] - Deathless Shaper & Uber Atziri/ULab

Nevermind. Shock is useless.

I've updated the title to accurately reflect the fact that you can't count on a shock bonus of 50%. Without shock I'm still carrying 1.1M DoT DPS using Frenzy charges and 9.1k life or 1.03M DoT DPS and 9.3k life with a regular life+burn dmg jewel.

I think it's still a solid build for those who want to be able to complete the harder end-game content while still using RF.

If you could find a reliable way to apply the 50% inc dmg shock buff, you'd be looking at 1.5M DoT DPS.

Thanks for all the responses and the video views!

Why is Doryani or this rare sceptre better than Doon for this?

So Doon is a good starter weapon and I used it for a long time. But I'm really trying to max dmg. When I plug a perfect Doon into my build I lose 40k DoT DPS. When I plug a perfect Doryani's into my build I lose 20k DoT DPS. The bottom line is that a rare sceptre can combine: +ele dmg, +fire dmg, +burning dmg, +DoT. All of which increase the effect of RF. A nicely crafted one can give you between +150% to +175% (or more) DoT DPS and Doon and Doryani's can't compete at that point. Mine is only +148% overall.

Hi!

Nice build, I especially like the idea of using Windscream and Leo DoT.

How do you feel about using Xoph's Blood for some ash-covering? (Not the "upgraded" Xoph's Heart, we don't want Avatar of Fire because of EE)
Well, I never had one myself, but the effect sounds kinda strong.
Not sure if it would overpower 70% increased fire damage, but with your gear I think it may be stronger.

You (or a Spell Totem instead of the Decoy Totem) could also use Scorching Ray to decrease enemy fire resistance even further, since you have little to do except dodging. (If you can fit it anywhere, but it doesn't need to do damage, so 1-2 sockets would be enough)
I'm not sure, if this would really help much in practical combat since Scorching Ray needs time to build up and the enemys are dying pretty fast, but well in harder fights it could help a little.

You could also use 3 skillpoints for Whispers of Doom for an additional curse. Probably not Blasphemy, but maybe Curse on Hit-Ele Weakness-Orb of Storms(-Crit) or classical selfcast Ele Weakness.

Well, these possible changes are all rather situational and won't do much for mapping, but they could boost your PoB dps ;D

Greetings
All really good points.

I have put some thought into incorporating 'Covered in Ash' into the build. I mean now we're really talking about min/maxing it. Like you noted most everything that's not a boss dies pretty quickly so the only real benefit are bosses.

I've also looked at an additional curse and using ele weakness. +1 curse to my ammy would be nice, but expensive. Once again we're only talking about a benefit to major boss fights, trash mobs are no sweat. I'm at lvl 95 now, so I could spend 3 points for the passive slot. I was hoping to fit in another GG jewel though.

I've tried Green Dream for Frenzy charges. It's just OK. It's not super useful for boss fights unless there are a ton of adds (Like Beachhead).

I've upgraded my sceptre. I found one for 210c that had better stats AND +str. My burning dmg + dot is at 162 total now, but the +str gives extra life which boosts your RF dmg.

I've added a link to an Uber Atziri run I did. Unfortunately, I died twice, but they were both mistakes on my part. It's definitely possible to finish Uber Atziri deathless with this build.

A lot of people have reached out in-game to say how much fun they're having with the build. Thanks for that!

Good Luck All!

I am in the process of updating gear to min/max this build. As I start to post gear upgrades the build will start to get significantly more expensive. Keep in mind though, deathless shaper, uber atziri, fast ulab runs were all done with the original gear I posted.

I just tried HoGM and managed to finish 3 out of the 4 sections. My goal now is to make the build HoGM viable. So I can confidently say that handles all content.

Do you have any issues when you run minus max plus vulnerability combo?
I'm using regen enchant on boots and marble amulet, and I still slowly degen in red maps, with 2201 regen (2797.8 while on consecrated ground).
I can bear to take a yellow map with minus max res plus vulnerability with no issues, but in red maps I can take -12 max res and vulnerability, but I slowly degen with constant uptime on ruby flask. Without ruby flask up, I degen quite fast. Not too much of an issue, since flasks are active 99% of time, but combined with other damage mods, makes it a bit rippy. Well, a bit more rippy.
Vulnerability by itself is not an issue, even in red maps, as I regen while under vulnerability curse.
Same with minus max, even -12 max res is not an issue by itself.
How does the build fare in 60% less regen environment?
I can take 60% less regen, but definitely will not be able to survive anything else like above combined with it.

How does your build fare in such environments?
I'm strongly considering upgrading mine to this one, if yours has better survivability in those environments I described above, mainly because peek of my dps with conc effect, shocking ground, intimidate and flasked up is around 413k (without RF helm enchant, just can't get it in lab, and without opal rings since the game hates me and did not drop even one from all the plaza/maze/colosseum I ran)
Triple curse does seem very juicy as well. My only reason as to why am I debating it, is due to survivability questions, because I really, really hate wasting currency on rerolling maps, I literally just drop an alch, and run it, 95% of times, as I reroll only no regen mods.

I have to be honest, I limited my map runs to Apex, Shaped Strand, Vault, Guardians, Shaper, Uber Atziri, Uber Lab runs, and T15 Beachheads. I find other maps to be kind of waste of time. With that said, I usually reroll them if I get Vuln or reduced regen. I know that's not the answer you were hoping for but the build does have some negatives and those are 2 of them.
Yeah, they sure are a waste of time, especially those that take long to complete, but I have that tiny problem where I can't just run few of the same maps over and over again, because I get burned out from monotony very fast, so I play them all, I find that most enjoyable, and I don't get burned out so fast.
To each it's own, I'd say, everyone has that something that enjoys doing :)

Yeah, that sure ain't the reply I was hoping for, but I thank you for the reply nevertheless.
Oh well, I can only hope that I'll get my RF enchant someday, and finally drop those opal rings, that should bring up the DoT dps for a bit.
I have no issues with my build at the moment, but boss damage is a little bit lackluster when everything is not up :/
Hopefully that'll be fixed with essence crafted opals...
Thank you again, for taking your time to read through, and reply to my questions, I appreciate it.
Cheers!
