CI 2xClaws Frenzy/Flicker Assassin

hello, I just wanted your opinion on some things:

Is it good for this kind of build to get the +2 melee range node? I figured there are a lot of melee damage and strength nodes near it, so I might as well get it.

I always thought critical was always good for claw shadows, because you basically gain a bit more life/ES when you crit. but I've noticed you guys not putting much into it. why so?

Is it absolutely necessary to get Vaal Pact? will that few seconds cut from regenerating life actually be better, instead of investing the nodes of getting it into something else?

@Bio - Yeah I've just got those nods behind CI as well and its an insane boost :-)

Which skills are you using? I've been waiting for cyclone but its kinda slow and weak IMO for dualclaw, on my 2hand sword maurader using BM it kicks ass.

SO I'm still stuck with whirling blades as main AoE, and until I cant find an alternative I lay my shadow to the side for now and gonna get my ranger lvl 50 and Maurader lvl 45 higher for now and will get back to shadow when theres an alternative.

Can't wait to waste hundreds of orbs to get 2G 2R sockets :P

@env

It's for sure not bad, as there are many awesome nods near as well. But if you go for CI, I don't know if it's worth going down that far as there are no real ES nods that could help you - but maybe if you go for an ES/Armor build, so take IR on the way it could be worth it, as there are lots of ES/Evasion nods near shadow and lots of Armor/Evasion nods near duelist, you could as well pick up easily 30% ATS through acceleration and berserking and some nice melee/dual physical dmg nods, and the last frenzy-nod is down there too - so there are for sure reasons to go down there yes.

Physical dmg only is pretty nice in terms of getting continous guaranteed life back, say you focus on phys dmg and have 300 dmg but no crit, you'll get thta 300 dmg, but say you have 150 dmg with some critchance/multiplier, you sometimes benefit, but sometimes are way under what you could get with phys only. And since I'm running evasion, having both seems a bit weird and luck orientated :-P

I've also specced from crit to phys only on my split arrow/frenzy + evasion/dodge ranger, as its just much safier to play if you rely on lifeleech and stuff IMO.

And I havn't ever had vaal pact yet, but from what I heard, you get instantly full life, while without you can regenerate max. 20% of life/ES in a second (or so), and I can imagine how this gives you insane survivability, because ATM if I'm at low ES and whirl through 20 enemys, or be it 40, I still get rather "slow" (even if its the maximum I can get) regeneration, no matter if there are 5 enemys I whirl through or 40, while with Vaal Pact it would take just a second to be full again. This probably also changes the way you play, to a better.

Ps: if you go crit, I suppose daggers are the better way to go, as it has higher base-crit plus implicit crit properties and stuff :-) also there are crit-nods for dagger only, while claw has lifeleech nods instead. So I'd better have full crit specced with daggers and add lifeleech through support gems/gear or such, and go full physical with claws.

Had a lucky helm and armor drop, both having 80% more ES and +50-70 base ES, increased my ES to 1,9k at lvl 48. Might try cyclone again with the new won survivability :-P
@Anyran

I will NEVER EVER use WB for damage !!!

WB desyncs like hell and i like Lightning Strike :)

LS with LMP, FORK, Weapon ELE DMG, Faster Attacks IS KICKASS. (swap WED for more Physical DMG or PHY DMG at fulllife if u want to leach more life)

If your LS forks it accualy doubles its damage and that makes it a killer ability even if it increases its dps by 500-800 without fork ;)

Is Lightning strike actually good as physical build? And do both claws attack? or only one of them?
I do indeed not like whirling blades as AoEkiller due to desync etc.. its a good lifefiller tho.

Anyway What about a meleeskill plus one of the new support gems comming nxt week, melee AoE or 3 fast attacks. if dualstrike+meleeAoE would actually do enough AOE or i dunno, frenzy with triple attack and smash fast through the shit? :-D or even dualstrike+triple+AoE or such :-D

LS works with dual claws, technically, but it does not act the same way as Dual Strike and Cleave do. think of viper strike, in which the attacks alternate. the damage only considers one hand.
while LS + ele weapon damage is good, it doesn't fully utilize dual wielding.

the support gems would be good, actually. Though I'm not sold on splash damage. I don't usually want myself surrounded by mobs when I attack. :p multistrike + dual strike though, that's a bosskiller. also, expect large mana multipliers on them. they're too good on their own.

Hi guys,

at first this thread gave me alot of helpful infomartion about dual claw shadow which i was looking for.

Still got some questions.
Iam lvl 36 right now and i feel very weak.
Here is my build.
Spoiler

Is it because i didnt go straight to vaal pact or does my equip just suck ?
Or is my health build total crap :D

Iam using mostly dual strike with hatered as buff. Sometimes Flicker Strike to escape / ninja engage. As debuff i got enfeble. And Frenzy i use only on bosses / targets with alot of hp to boost my atk speed for dual strike.
Got around 598HP atm i think.
400dps on dual strike.
