CI 2xClaws Frenzy/Flicker Assassin

Hey, thats exactly the kind of build i was looking for, thanks !

I'll give it a shot and add my own touch to it and give some feedback when i can.

Wondering tough, armor-wise, going for pure ES gear or Dodge/ES?

Edit : actually read all the replies, got my answer -.-.

Cool thing! I'm not sure whether to stay with evasion or not, atm I have about 46% evasion and it works fine, 820 ES and my current build:

I think a few more frenzy charges are a cool thing to have, for these reasons:

More flicker strike, which is cool if you have lots of AS and say are really low on ES, u go "flick flick flick flick" :-D

Also leveling up Frenzy gives you increased ATS, not sure if the 5% increased phys dmg increase too, but I have like 7% ATS for each stack now, and I aim to get 6 stacks max, which is 42%, which is a lot. And every 1% more through leveling will add to that.

I don't know if I have frenzy in slot and kill a unit with Blood rage on, if I get the bonus from what my equipped frenzy-gem lvl 11 says or not, but say I get stacks through frenzy only or I get them through killing in blood rage, I get the same DPS at maximun stacks with say Dual strike, so I suppose it takes the equipped frenzy-gem bonuses, which is great.

And I will probably also stay with evasion, as I'm a fast hitter anyway, with evasion aura and the soon to come 4% EV per frenzy charges = +24% at max. frenzy charges, this will add good to that, and those points I save through not going that far down, I can get something else. And like, when I get hit and am in danger, my shadow's meant to be fast and deal with that :P

I suppose you use quite similiar if not the same skills as I do? Since theres not that much choice anyway :-D ATM I whirl/flicker through groups and dualstrike/flicker/frenzy single mobs. Looking forward to that melee-AoE skill to come in the patch after the next patch. This skill will make it more awesome, since thats the only thing thats missing, AoE.

Not sure if I will offer the 80% ES as you did, but I'll for sure get more a few more clawdmg-nods, e.g. the ones at the start that I missed out, 4 points away from the 12% ATS nod.

And I'll specc resists quite late-game as it seems now, so Imma get ele-resist-aura probably too, so I'll be running 4 Auras: ES, EV, Resist and Mana-reg. Using 3 atm and have yet to get resist-aura - does this reduce mana by XX mana, or does it reduce mana by xx%? I hope its the first, never the less im gonna pick up the 2-3 mana nods and +40% manareg, even picking up only one 8% mana nod helped me a lot allready, and manareg+2% manaleech does the rest anyway.

here my reworked final build:

Not quite sure about these 10x 8% ES nods, might just get all the ES recovery and things will go well with enough dmg+LL, resist and stuff, and I think Vaal Pact is great to have, not sure of that either, never tried. Instant leech sounds great tho. Nevertheless, I'll now mainly focus on claw-dmg, this one big Accuracy nod (dead eye?), resist and at last get +30% aura-buff (which is cool for sure, running with 4 Auras) and Vaal pact.

Also gotta pick up atleast 2, probably 3 +30 strengh nods for Warlods Mark and +melee dmg Support gems. Maybe I'll get that later through gear, but atm I really need the strengh.
I don't use Frenzy at all, only Bloodrage. Thats why i didn't take the extra Frenzy nodes :)

I was just feeling it might work out much smoother with max claw dmg, because it is often such a hit and run and I want to stay at tough rares or uniques. More dmg = more leech.
I use Lightning Strike atm for AoE but its nothing against Cleave ;_;. Hope they make something about that soon.
Didn't try out Whirl, does it enough dmg to whirl save through big groups of hard hitting enemies?

Good thing is, I don't need Warlords Mark because I have some 8% on my Claws + 5% from Bloodrage (maybe more soon as it lvls up) and the 3% lifeleech Gem. With passive skills its 20%. ES is going up pretty well, but maybe armor becomes better if you encounter a "hits accurately" "attacks fast" combo ^^

Got actually 1000 ES(with Discipline), 37% EV(43% with grace). Running Discipline, Haste & Grace and got no manaproblems due to the lovely 2%.

Stay on tune!
Sorry for my bad grammar, kommt einfach klar.
If you go for EV to armor, warlords mark doesnt only give you LL and ML but also chance for endurace charge, if you intend to play with these :-P

Yeah whirl is for sure save. I use Whirl + melee phys dmg on full life + melee phys dmg, and get 100 DPS with that (which sounds like nothing, but it does hit like 80-280 with each hand and I whirl twice a second through several enemys). I don't intent to use LL gem ever since I get 4 LL from skilltree, and atm 6% from claws (one claw has 15 life/hit, very useful I can tell :P ), plus bloodrage and warlords is about 20% aswell. So I'm save aslong as there are big groups, kinda :-D I use flicker on 3-4 Mobs that aren't quite in a line, or flicker+dual strike+flicker+dualstrike and kill them fast one after another.

Is Haste cool to have? Later on I might not need Clarity and get that one instead. Also need to know wheter resist-aura steals me 40% of my mana or only 100-200 fixed mana :-D I think the defensiv auras are fixed Mana though, quite sure actually, not sure though ;-D

Yeah I gotta fear those accurately hitter, the "never get stunned" passive looks attractive too, as standing still is not quite the intention I had with my shadow :-P

This doesnt apply to getting frozen tho, does it? Because those frost-mages could also su.. my di.. twice, as they slow me down and/or freeze :-D
Haste is fine, gives attack speed and run speed with 40% manacost. I don't know for sure if I can't get frozen with stun-immunity, but I hope so. Im at merciless now where many enemies deal extra frost dmg and being frozen means most the time death.
Are you sure your life/hit applies to Shield? Ghost Reaper only switches lifeLEECH to ES afaik.

On my way to VP now, think I reach it with 60.
Sorry for my bad grammar, kommt einfach klar.
Hi here's the build i'm going for right now, almost same keystones as you :

http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAgYA_5MeGjBUmVcoKrVIsbPrju1BNkKuz6Z_qBqT_Ifb62OZmrb3iGsRLzY944Slyw5IDPIRlqc0BbXvoLTFjb_tdsLsQFUrClFHan5HBm9XwQA-z58nFf3b519qDI3bGr3mFRrWB4_6DUkQe_lj-vHsGPVLGtvBxcNtvjruDiy_Vvr8xXRB3Q0UdSzpkApbrzrtFSCKOE4qKk1qlbZBPycxe1oabqqjOiyFrpMTwHTxKjh6uCFgnrm3PkCgxq7vTjwtKLXE9mCIPQ8n7WFSJIvz3ayqn8syCXy7WfOePMAaTdhmnox2cU2az0NjtzFY9Z3E

goal is having 6 frenzy charges, huge ES pool, max life leech applied instantly and immunity to stun to be able to constantly regen your shield.

And I tried to mitigate the low HP perma frozen state by taking the 40% reduced chance to get chilled/frozen.

@Stopf Ye was a bit sarcastic there, I don't benefit from the LGOH from my claw, don't have a better one avaiable just right now :P Got one with LL for in 2 levels though that is waiting for me.

I think stunimmunity won't make you freezeimmune tho, would be quite cool tho.

@Mandrakia Interesting tree, you might go for Iron reflexes, since youre just 1-2 points away and got the +ES/EV nods at the shadows start area, and pick up ES/EV gear, as they require dex/int insteda of str/int, as you seem to have more dex as str anyway, and that way you could save all these many nods you go to +ES/Armor and spend them elsewhere but still benefit from the +evasion from +ES/Evasion nods you skill anyway.

Like that

So you'd get +136% evasion instead of those +96% Armor, but loose like 45% ES which arent a big deal I suppose but on the way get more mana/int you need for ES stuff and claws.

And you still got those 8 points you could either pump into the +40% ES between witch/shadow tree so you'd like loose 5% ES but win 40% Armor (converted Evasion) and have more overall int for equipping your gear, or get those 2x +6% all ele resist nods and the 4x +15% to X element nods or whatever :-)

Just an idea, I personally just wouldnt go so deep into maurader tree :-P

Bumping this, having fun with mine but still too low level to add really anything to the discussion :(.

Only big problem i have with the build atm is that its insanely mana intensive, outside the Mind Drinker node, anything else i could look for to alleviate the problem?
Make sure you deal as much damage as physical damage, and other than that, buffing your damage will solve mana problems.

I for instance can't spamm whirling blades, unless I add a +melee phys dmg and a +melee phys dmg on full life (with CI) support gem to it, which makes whirling blades an acceptable group-killer, life-filling and spamm-able. Also using clarity lvl 1, only have skilled one 8% mana nod atm. Lvl 47 still because I couldnt play this week at all, very busy.

Looking forward to cyclone :-)

I hope it gets really big with +AoE radius support gem and is a super funny skill to use :-P

Else, if you have mana problems, the cool thing with CI is that you dont need to focus on +life on gear, so getting some mana through gear without loosing too much other stats is quite easy compared to non-CI builds.

Else, you might want to a new pair of claws/daggers (w/e you are using) in case you dont have good ones, to buff your mana-leech as mentioned above.

I suppose the mana-problem will get better with higher lvls anyway :-)
Hi there.

Now that CI has been buffed in the latest patch I'm using a variation of your build.

This build covers extreme ES increase in terms of surviving in Merciless now.

I was able to complete Act III Merciless BUT u need extreme cookie cutter gear.

- if u don't have the Eye Of Chayula you will be perma-stunned!!!

As mentioned in your build i am running VERY HIGH psysical damage only and this help a lot leaching back my life in combat.

- Did you ever try to get 2R 2G sockets on an ES-only item... // this is a major downside of building entirely on physical damage with an DEX/INT Hybid character ;) (ES / EVA)

Thank you very much for posting that Dual Claw CI build suggestion.
Helped me out a lot :D

Greetings from Germany
