You noted that the issue with MoM + Acuity is that you're worried about dangerous mana thresholds from damage. Wouldn't The Covenant's BM on socketed gems remedy this issue, making mana almost entirely for a secondary buffer on your life pool? Seems very strong in this scenario.

should I switch out my 5L carcass jack for a 6L Cherrubim's Maleficence Triumphant Lamellar
for the %chaos dmg? not sure what the dmg difference is.
