MTX TRADING OR EXCHANGE!
"Just casually flipping through this random thread and- Whao!! This thread is heated!"
Okay so I hear everyone's side on this. I get all points being made here, rediculous or not there are some good ideas but we also have to look at some of the issues that are already placed within the game, which we will have to go back when GGG created the first list of supporter packs back in the beta to get the game originally established. These 'Supporter Packs' were created as a way for you to support GGG and it was a simple way of GGG to spend a couple extra days, designing skins and cool spell coding to say thanks for your generosity. As time passed, these supporter packs were no longer able to be obtained, making the skins that were part of that pack rare, especially the packs that were worth over $500. So why bring up supporter packs to begin with? Well, the problem with holding back MTX trading has resulted in a market outside of the game which consists of trading account with these rare skins. Some go for plenty of thousands of dollars worth of items that cannot be obtained here in 3.0. So in my opinion, MTX trading within the game would keep the market with other players and GGG within the game, rather than with other player outside of the game and no profit ending back in GGG's hands. On to the other side of the discussion now; In some ways MTX trading can or would be pointless. I know for the sake of the player, people want to trade MTX's for money currency at a lower % rate exchange so when they buy those lovely little MTX boxes and end up with duplicates, they can simply trade a few of those back and try again with another box and continue to push their luck. As this would appeal to the player, this has no benefit for GGG. They're making a whole lot more money because they know that you'll just keep trying until you either get the MTX or fail miserably and just wait for the season to end in order to buy that MTX full price. Yes I understand, GGG is a company that is doing very well for themselves, so should they find a way to make MTX exchange work? Well it's going to take a lot of convincing to do so, but I don't find it to be that bothersome. So what do you do now, when you realize that MTX trading may never be a thing? I guess you'll just buy the supporter packs and wait a year or so when it becomes extinct and the price of the MTX's start rising and you can go find an outsourced account market that will get your money back. Not condoning this by any means, I'm only stating the fact that this happens on a daily basis. That is all :) *EDIT* Sorry for the duplicate. The forums are a little screwy right now. when i read the comments and people buy 70 freaking boxes and complain about alot of duplicates... those mystery bozes don't even have 70 items in them.
i always buy 5 boxes and i have never got a duplicate. not even double ho decorations. I dont want to have it all. I just want to have enough.

" I think xbox players (spits) will speak up eventually too if we make our words heard. Also, look at DOTA. The top streamed non-pay2win game with a 23 million dollar prize pool has skin trade available through steam. |

" well personally i see no issue with the current system I dont see any any key!

" You think "your words" haven't been heard plenty of times before? As you've already been told in this thread, GGG has addressed this, and explained in very plain terms the reason that the boxes work the way they do, and the reason that there is no system for trading in your duplicates. You can do your research and find responses from Chris himself, among others. U MAD?

This has to be re-addressed we are growing, and so is GGG's team of designers.
