someone get ZIZARAN A MEDIC

His heart rate is 130 sitting and playing a game? Has serious cardiac issues.

My resting heart rate is 55... intense work out might go to like 80.

video of ziz w/ heart monitor i guess . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9GcP8InAMc

I bet if you wore a HRM you'd have some heart-racing moments too.

I believe for the clip in question ziz was trying to recover an Oba's that he'd been forced to log out of twice because of rogue exiles.

That'd get anyone's heart rate going. Well, anyone with a competitive nature. If you're not the kind of person who would get worked up over that, you're probably also not at the top of the league ladder :)

Holy shit is right, and that is an understatement. I was so sick once that my rate was 132, and I had to be taken to the emergency room because of it. A resting heart rate of 130 is very, very not good!!!!

Not saying he's the heart healthiest dude - he does sit on a chair and play video games for a living after all - but I think this is a bit of an exaggeration.

55 RHR and 80 after vigorous exercise is SUPER low. Most people have RHR 60-80. And normal people running on a treadmill can easily get to over 120 as a steady state rate they can maintain for a long time. Pro Baseball players are measured to be in the 120-140 range while playing the field - i.e. they aren't being super active but they are on edge because they might be required to burst into action at any second.

If you watch the beginning of the VOD Ziz's heartrate is 100 before he starts the map. It's a little high and unhealthy, but he often drinks a lot of Red Bull during his stream so a lot of that is probably caffeine. Once he's in the map and he's on edge it goes up, but if you're super nervous about dying that's not all that surprising.

Short story is that heart rate is much more easily impacted by tension and nervousness than people seem to be thinking. If you ever watch Darbian (a Super Mario Bros speed runner) his resting heart rate is around 70, but towards the end of a great run it'll hover around 150.

While i can probably agree with you about Ziz you sure your not missing a 1 on your intense work heartrate? :P 80 would be extremely unusual especially with a rest rate of 55 ;p your general zones are like 210-220 - your age for cardio, so 170-180 is intense cardio if your 30. Athletes in highly efficient specialties have lower values like super fit cyclists for example can get a rest heart rate down in the 30s but i don't think i've ever heard of someone with a working heart rate of 80 lol.

I seriously do not know if we have the same definition of the word "intense". :)

Usain Bolt is measured at a resting rate at 28, which is amazing. His maximum rate, on the other hand, is around 180.

I used to be a sprinter myself, that's why I know.
