Your honestly better off picking 1 element and just picking a few areas you want to farm that work for that element. Like a fireball sorc is very good at farming Andy even though you cant kill most of the mobs around her because she has almost negative fire resistance. With said fire sorc you could also farm cows and stuff like key runs. Also getting an infinity merc with a lower resist wand can be used to break most immunity in d2.

But yea immunity was completely an awful idea that pretty much resulted in everyone playing hammerdin because almost no monsters had magic damage immunity.

For Uber Tristram. Countess, Summoner, and Nihlathak in Hell can drop an item called "Key of Hate/Terror/Destruction". Cubing one of each while in Harrogath will open a portal to one of three locations (Furnace, Matron's Den, Sands something), where you fight Uber Izual, Lilith (uber andariel), Uber Duriel. Each of them drop an organ (Mephisto's brain/Diablo's Horn/Baal's Heart iirc). Cubing these three organs in act 5 town opens a portal to Uber Tristram, where you fight Uber Baal+Uber Diablo+Uber Meph. Killing these three drops a Hellfire torch.

The drop rates for keys is kind of low, like 1 in 13ish runs. If you have teleport, or in POD are a necro with Convocation or Dudu with Flame Dash with a 0.4 sec cooldown or lower (with chams), farming keys isn't too brutal, but it can be pretty time consuming. It usually takes me a day of farming to get between 1 and 2 sets (full sets I mean, 9 keys, enough to open all three portals for the organs).
