[2.6] Discharge/Firestorm for Shaper/Uber Atziri + Build for Fast Clear Maps included



After Blade Vortex nerf, I was not able to farm Shaper or Uber Atziri. Here is build that allow to farm them again.

Its lvl 95, with 88% Chance to Hit, 7.9k es, tooltip dmg 1.5k and 1.8k vs 95 and 110k dps, attack speed 4.33, 481% crit multi. Lower a bit damage to take Energy from Withing for 8.4k es for Uber Atziri, Shaper can be beaten with 6k es, which make build cheaper by price of rings.

- Any belt with +1 Endurance Charge. We need Strength and Dexterity mainly to save nodes. Energy Shield is needed for Uber Atziri.
- 2.1k and 1.9k vs 150k and 95k dps. In combination with The Wise Oak and penetration items. Can clear maps with it if Warlords Mark is in CWDT.

With two Purity gems its quite "easy" to achieve perfect min/max balance. With one Purity we focus on max Lightning + Fire resistance.

- Everything that Rise Area of Damage; with Cast Speed its deadly combination.
- Never ever play maps that cripple Elemental Resists.

There are two things to focus on: rise Energy Shield and rise dps with jewels.
- "Energy Shield on Shield" node is pretty good. To get it you can take another one Intuitive Leap jewel. Grab also "Alchemist" if needed.


This boots speed up leveling process. A lot. Nevertheless they lack Energy Shield. In combination with Immune to Bleed Quicksilver flask, this boots are fantastic, and what they lack on Energy Shield, they compensate with speed/dodge. But more energy shield is always good and because those boots are pretty fast your reaction time is lower - Deaths Door (immune to bleed) or yellow boots (resists + dex/str) can work for you better, just give a try what will work better for you.

Protection from reflect:
For leveling instead of Blasphemy/Elemental Weakness take Purity of Lightning + Purity of Fire + Enlighten + Discipline. Blasphemy/Elemental Weakness is last thing to focus on as its most expensive thing.

Firestorm? Jewels? What Enchants? Bandits? Accuracy? Attack Speed? Crafting! ...

Why Firestorm
To be able to fight bosses we need to have maximum Power Charges. Firestorm helps to get maximum Power Charges and till today, its only one spell I found that is capable to do that. With other mechanics we are getting 7 Power Charges quite fast and constantly, and therefore fight is more smooth, damage is constant, life leech as well.

Accuracy Rating - Priority nr.1
Chance to hit should be minimum 86% (cca 600 Accuracy Rating from gear w/o Ice Golem), 90% is very good (cca 1200 Accuracy from gear w/o Ice Golem), 92% is desirable, 95% is max. 100 Accuracy Rating is cca 0.7% to Chance to Hit (*confirmation needed).

First focus on Helmet, because enchant is hardest to get; if you see difference in price 10ex, you can try out to roll your own helmet. After get gloves - easiest to get Accuracy Rating + Attack Speed; you can try to get with "more attack speed" but its almost impossible. When its settled, you focus on rings.

Rings - because price of rings with "#to Mana Cost of Skills" and "#201+ Accuracy Rating" are usully 10ex+, we can craft our own, cheaper, lower versions. If its reliable I left on your own wallet/decision.

Take yellow ilvl 59 Diamond Ring with "-4(up to -8) to Mana Cost of Skills" and look for 2nd mod you need. Usually resists to some element, if you lack dexterity/strength, or pick "+to maximum Energy Shield 21 or higher", those are good choice as well. After that you craft on it "Can Have Multiple Crafted Mods" + "Accuracy Rating" + "%Energy Shield" + "whatever you need mostly #Energy Shield". Divine it afterwards if needed. Such a ring will cost you cca 4ex. If you want to min max rings, than buy already crafted (cca 20 ex or higher) or get yellow ring with "#201 (minimum) Accuracy Rating" with "-4 (minimum) Cost to Mana of Skills" and craft the rest.

Jewels - Priority nr.2
Discharge damage and amount of life leech is based on jewels. On jewels we want: spell damage and crit multi (and area damage). Spell damage are cheaper than crit multi, but we need crit multi as well. We have total of 7 jewel slots (+1 for Intuitive Leap). One of slot has to have "+2 mana gained on hit" jewel to sustain mana pool all time during attacks. Otherwise Vinktar is needed. "You Cannot be Cursed with Silence" jewel will save your life from time to time.

If you miss Life Leech or you are not able to kill fast enough bosses while your Chance to Hit is at least 84%, always look at jewels. After Chance to Hit jewels are Alpha and Omega of build.

Try to get at least 3 mods on one jewel.

Spell damage vs Crit Multi

From observation when clearing maps, I suggest, that from shield and from jewels should come over 220% to spell damage. Rest can be multiplier.

I have character with 280% multi total and from jewels 171% spell damage + 50% spell damage and clearing lvl 15 maps with np. On another character I gave a try with over 500% multi with only 80% spell damage jewels + 50% spell damage from shield and imo that doesnt clear maps as well as first character, nevertheless with first it takes longer time to kill lvl 16 bosses or take difficult fight with 3rd Shaper due a lot of Vortex and 2nd Unshaperd form, while with second I am farming Shaper with no significant troubles.

There is still needed to be found balance. In thise Uber/Shaper build is +369% crit multi from tree + Cospri. From jewels we gain +139% crit multi and +178% to spell damage + 52% spell damage from shield. That one is most balanced spell damage/crit multi so far I found.




Attack Speed
Attack Speed is very important and this build lack it. Very nice spot is 6 attack speed, but that is achievable Faster Attack speed gem and we are not using it. Quicksilver flask mitigate that to some point. For leveling you can you can get attack speed on jewels.


Bandits
Normal: skill point
Cruel: skill point; for lvling attack speed 8% (Kraityn) or later point for nod "3% attack speed/10% to Accuracy Rating (=+1% Chance to Hit)
Merciless: Power Charge (Alira)

Enchants + belt mod
- Helmet - "Increased Discharge Dmage" vs "Chance for Discharge not to Consume Charges" - Chance not to Consume is much better even if you go with single Discharge gem. Damage and ability of Life Leech is based on amount of Power Charges we have, and this enchant make that for us.
- Boots - "Damage Penetrates 10% of Enemy Elemental Resistances if you haven't Killed Recently" - Penetration is best you can get; if you miss Elreons Rings and you are relying on mana regeneration, than "Regenerate 2% of Life and Mana per second if you were Hit Recently" is best.
- Gloves - "* of Reflection"
- Belt - Essence of Hysteria: "Damage Penetrates 5% Elemental Resistances while using a Flask"


How Elemental Equilibrium works and why Lightning Penetration flask is best?

How Elemental Equilibrium Works?
- Cyclone/Shield Charge hits with cold damage reducing lightning/fire resists by 50% and rising cold resistance by 25% > critical hit triggers Discharges endurance/power charges dealing fire and lightning damage (both at same time) and make cold resistance lower by 50% and rising fire and lightning resistance by 25% > Cyclone/Shield Charge hits with cold damage..

Lightning Penetration Flask work best
- example - When there are 7 power charges on tooltip I see 19.9k lightning dps. If I use spell damage Vinktar it shows 20.5k dps. Its +600 damage. So lightning penetration seems better as 10% from 19.9k is 1900 damage. It seems like lightning penetration is better with at least 2 power charges (if lightning damage hit at its max damage), 4 power charges seems like a breakpoint where Lightning Penetration Vinktar works better under any conditions than add spell damage Vinktar flask.

Physical Vinktar do not use as it screw Elemental Equilibrium.





Shaper fight

Best time to fight Shaper is when he attack us with claw or when he cast Beam. We have to dodge Ground Slam attack. If we are standing on Vortex, Quicksilver flask help to dodge or with Immune to Freeze flask we are able to life leech, but not always - better use Vinktar if necessary.

Quicksilver flask is very good for dogde and attack. Vinktar comes handy especially in 3rd phase.

Life Leech gem in Cospri is superb vs 4x bosses and Shaper overall, and with skill no Vinktar have to be used in this fight.

For Rigwald you should be able to kill him before he turns into wolf. If not, go to place with stones and attack after he change back to attackable form. Quicksilver + Vinktar + Diamond flask.

For fight with Unshaped form is proven good to use Vinktar + Freeze Immune flask and try to avoid Vortex Slam.

For 2nd Unshaped form - wait till he cast a lot of balls, than attack him till he make ground slam. After ground slam walk away or hide behind something, after he cast a lot of balls you are free to attack again.



Uber Atziri fight

- switch Perpetual Flask of Dousing (Immune to Burn flask with faster gain of chargers) for Diamond Immune to Freeze flask before you enter Uber Atziri lair; In front of Trio and Uber switch Purity of Lightning gem for Elemental Weakness gem.

- Trio kill with 2xVinktar: get close to Alira with Shield Charge to trigger Fortify, and use Cyclone with Quicksilver + Vinktar flask - after you kill her, 2nd target will die and the last one with Cyclone is leaving behind him Chaos fumes. After kill of 2nd target you can try to kill the 3rd if you still have Vinktar, otherwise get out of fume area and finish aside. I was able to kill him without Vinktar that way. Fumes can not be outleeched with Life Leech in Cospri.

- Uber Atziri: you have to dodge spells or to have at least 8350es to survive one shot and pray for not being shot with her physical arrow. You can pass on Deaths Door and take high es faster movement boots, but not necessary. Main strategy is to wait till she casts Flame Blast and attack her after. Use Quicksilver flask as its best way how to dodge or escape Flame Blast. Flask of Dousing can save your life in many situations.

- Mirror phase: Main strategy is to situate to place near Mirror with mirror in hand and when fight starts to Shield Charge to opposite Mirror. In that way Flame Blast will stay behind you. If you are not able to kill Mirror in cca 4 seconds, move around till another Flame Blast is casted and finish firstly attacked mirror, with activating Fortify with Shield Charge again.

- Fire/Lightning Storm simply dodge and wait till it ends. You can survive 1 storm, but 2 storms on one place are hardly to recognize and therefore not worth to risk (like I did 2x in video above).

It needs skill to take down Uber Atziri, but its most fun and rewarding fight I have experienced in PoE. You probably fail till you learn all mechanics. You can practice in Normal Atziri especially to see all attacks Atziri does and most importantly check Mirror Phase, what they do and check timing, as this phase is a bit tricky. I have farmed with Blade Vortex and Blade Flurry, but stopped very soon as its not very fun in my experience.

Setup to fast clean maps
Following is min/max build for Clear Maps. I have farmed lvl 16 maps with it too.

If you want to level up with that build, dont go higher than lvl 13 maps. If you want to level up on higher lvl maps, take build above (check Atoll Video to have idea what is difference in speed - it is slower by Rampage/Vaal Haste and more dependent on Accuracy gear, this one is not). Or take armor 2G2B2R and instead of Increased AOE take Fortify gem, otherwise there is a chance you going to die on exploding mobs (its very very rare).

This build has 94% Chance to Hit and maxed Critical Hit Chance on Shield Charge. 6.9k es. Movement Speed +55% from gem + 70% from Quicksilvers + 1% increased Movement Speed per 10 Rampage Stacks. Rampage: 2% increased Damage per 10 Rampage Stacks - usually ending with more than 400 stacks that is +80% damage in boss fight + 40% movement speed. You can pick more attack speed on jewels as well.



Tree. If you lack 95% chance to hit, consider to pick node below "Precision" for "+3%attack speed/+10% Accuracy Rating".

What is needed:
- jewel with "You cannot be Cursed with Silence" will save your life few times and you will not waste time.

Alternative:

- can do without +1 Endurance Charges or whatever belt, but HeadHunter ads a lot to clear speed otherwise try to get Movement Speed on belt with high Energy Shield.
- you really should try to get resists somewhere else, but can do too. Seven-league boots are too good to not pick them.
- those if you are afraid of Bleeding and dont want to use Quicksilver Bleeding immunity flask. Endurance Charges are not important, focus on jewels.
- If you lack of Energy Energy Shield or Chance to Hit. Gloves with "more attack speed" mode works too, but are hard to get by with ES + Accuracy Rating.
- Not recommend, but if you can not one shot mobs, than take it and instead of Vaal Haste/Longer Duration use Warlords Mark.
- even faster clear speed

Strategy of play:
Simply spam Diamond Freeze immune flask and Quicksilver Bleeding Immune flask (+ Dying Sun, +faster Quicksilver flask) . Use Vaal Haste if you want to. With each hit you gain Power Charge, if you Crit, you gain another one, which makes minimum 54% chance to hit from Shield Charge. But if we hit pack of mobs, we have 7 Power Charges "all time" = 95% Crit Chance.

With maxed Accuracy Rating and Crit Chance you should be able to Discharge "all" time. With this setup you should have 38% crit chance in base, with Shadow and Dust gloves 40%.
1 Power Charge - 46% (48%) chance to crit.
7 Power Charges - 95% (95%) chance to crit.

If you pick from tree "True Strike" it will be even better. Your damage will be high enough even without "Throatseeker" node, but its not really necessary.


Reflect Mobs? Map mods? No Frenzy Charges? Life Leech in Cospri? ...

What rolls to avoid on maps:
Whatever that cripples Elemental Resist due Reflect.
And what increase area of enemy spell, especially with combination with Fast Cast Speed.

Why Cyclone with Attack Speed and no Accuracy Rating? Will be damage enough?
Attacks Speed is better for dodge, grant more Power Charges and with Quicksilver flask make fight pretty fast. With proper jewels you will be able to farm lvl 16 maps deathless.

Reflect mobs
Against reflect we are protected by Purity of Lightning/Fire. Without them you will kill yourself with one hit. If you have one Purity you die in 3 hits. With two purities you have small chance to kill yourself only on high hp mobs - golems, but it wont happen as you pass very fast through them.

Why not Frenzy Charges, Herald of Ice, Ice Bite Support, The Green Nightmare?
Because you will die instantly with 3 types of Charges. There is no ways to protect yourself from 3 sources of damage.

Life Leech in Cospri?
Life Leech in Cospri is overall great choice to assure maximum life sustain and to mitigate damage from reflect. You can go with Controlled destruction, but why to risk.

If I go with 3 Endurance Charges, is that enough?
Yes, it is. All damage is hidden in jewels + 21/20 Discharge gem. There is really no need to max Endurance Charges, it helps for bosses, but its so small difference, that its not worth to loose Energy Shield/movement speed on belt. Even if you go without Endurance Charges, nothing really much happens, so you can focus on different type of amulet, whatever you need.

Hey i have a question, which enchants is better in boots 2% regen life mana when hit or 0.6% of damage leeched as life and mana if you've killed recently for speed farming maps t12-15 ?

En0tWhyN0t7: Cospri Malice sword level requirements is lvl 68. To make it work you need 20/20 Discharge gem, helmet Enchant, Chance to Hit 86% and jewels, 6 ascendancy points (8 preferably). Otherwise its a pain.

Check "maddognils" leveling guide. Maybe it can work for you. I am leveling with Blade Flurry.

Hey man, I really like the build.. But I have some problems with single target.. When I'm fighting a boss I cannot sustain enough power charges. So I have low damage single target. How can I fix that? :)
