Been doing a little testing with the tree and character now. This is extremely rough and not to be taken as gospel truth, but a couple of things to keep in mind:
1. Without Vaal Pact you have to be a lot more careful about engaging enemies and paying attention. For the most part, trash will still melt pretty hard, but if you do stuff like Breaches or harder maps with Vuln., Enfeeble, Temp Chains, or -Max Resists, you WILL feel it hit your ES now. 2. ES is lower than before, especially since we lost the nodes behind Chaos Inoculation, so you may have to sacrifice some DPS to make up for the defense loss. With the retooling I did to my tree below and gear below, I lost a total of about 2,000 ES. DPS is roughly the same. 3. There is definitely going to be some experimenting needed, but surprisingly so far the build with the Raider is certainly still plenty map-capable for running. However, I haven't had a chance to try this out against Guardians or Shaper. Bosses so far seem to last a little longer due to the HP increase, so bear that in mind as well. Current Gear

There are some base trees already posted and the like. Why don't some other people do some experimenting instead of waiting for one person? Let's pour our collective thoughts together and try some stuff out instead of waiting around maybe?

I had stopped anything related to PoE once the beta was announced, and came back to apparently a FB meta (Mathil+Lirik effect). That's fine, I can always respec into cyclone.
2h tree vs end-game 1h tree would take some different pathing, avoiding the Dervish route etc. I question if Fangs of Frost is worth taking, since it's a trek, but would likely drop Claws of the Pride if the cold was worth it. It's difficult to figure damage numbers since I'm importing someone else's tree. my wip: http://poeurl.com/bqLK |
