Basically the same as written in the guide:

Wrath and Added Lightning - both do increase your dps by a huge amount at higher levels.
Spectral Throw - because it's your attack, so it scales off all your dps output.
Inc.Crit Strikes - I believe crit part in this build is really important, second to flat ele dmg from all sources (aspeed would be third imho).
WED & GMP - both get MORE multiplier at higher level, so dps increases quite a bit.
Lightning Pen - while you won't see it on the tooltip, the penetration is important, though I think other gems are higher in priority list since they scale off all the elemental damage output, not only lightning.

My 2 cents.

Very nice man, I hope to put up a bunch myself and go over everyone's questions and such. Always good to see builds in action, just with my work ending I don't have time for another few weeks.

Netmos does in his build and respecs it later. To me super fast and really damn fast are the same. You CAN grab it but your already passive starved and need to get build to finish everything to like 95 (98/99 if you want another passive point) throwing one away for 8 attack speed isn't worth it to me. Grabbing to help through leveling and respecting with 20 regrets just really is not worth it to me, but it wouldn't be terrible if you got it.

I'm confused about the wrath part, the wiki just says it increases the area of effect, and as to g00fy, I'm trying to prioritize which gems get me more dps because I have limited gcps.

They understood getting to level 20, not 20 quality I think. Dont bother with wrath quality. Get ST and GMP to level 20 because it gives you +20% attack speed and it's better than +20% ele dmg.

Btw, I went for it :D Empower gave me a good 2k dps increase, not too bad.
