Pure Zombie Necromancer build?
In terms of clear speed , simply taking out multistrike and running around in a 5l is faster on the clear than rolling a 6l with multistrike.
This is why in the video you see me switching out melee splash for multi strike only at the boss fight. As I said before I have been rather skeptical about the new zombie jewels really shifting the meta of zombies much. The things is .. zombies .. dont .. get many good support gems. blood lust shackles them to horrors .. which have awful ai and apply bleeds inconsistently unless you have 3+ of them. but if you do that then you lose the frenzy monkeys and are force to roll with victario's multistrike is useful only against bosses and even then if you roll lions roar with umbilicus it wont be that good vs bosses that can be knocked back. this is also why you dont see me running around with united in dream. i have one handy .. right there but really the gems i would slot in in place for poison are.. fortify , faster attacks or minion speed.. none of which are particularly amazing gems in the first place. fortify only work for on hit attacks .. but the real threat to zombies are dots faster attacks is .. well not a more multi and minion speed is a worse faster attacks gem. |

conc / inc area is probably gonna be good. It's not listed on the wiki that Zombies are 'aoe' but since their abilities are, I am sure it affects them. Same thing with how 'less duration' boosted burning arrow

the issue is scaling . 30% more damage or attack speed is always 30 % more
50% increased attack speed is only 50% more attack speed when no other source of attack speed exists. effectively it gets less impactful the more increased attack speed you have .. this is usually the justification for why people tolerate multistrike at all. on paper you can get a ton of attack speed for minions 20% from the tree 20ish % from a haste aura 30% from flesh offering 45% from frenzy charges 21% from just 3 auras and commander of darkness 40% from vaal haste if you have umbilicus 20% from onslaught (also why silver flasks are kinda shit on an umbilicus build) so when you have all of that 50% increased from faster attacks .. is quite literally.. a drop in the bucket and 20% from minion speed is .. insulting Last edited by Saltychipmunk#1430 on Mar 3, 2017, 9:21:23 AM

" I'll not have haste and umbilicus. Just tree and 3 auras: (41+54)/41= 131% more DpS With frenzy apes on top: (86+54)/86 = 62% more DpS Flesh offering on top: 116+54 / 116 = 47% more DpS (same as melee physical damage) Vaal haste on top: 156+54 / 156 = 35% more DpS ...sounds fine to me. ;) 3.5 build: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2299519 Last edited by Peterlerock#5171 on Mar 3, 2017, 9:31:15 AM

Carnage Chieftain
Uses: Grants Allies Frenzy Charges Support Gems: - Blood magic causes hem to spam their warcry skill granting continous frenzy charges Damage range: - 150% dmg modifier Defense: - 150% life modifier Location: The Old Fields This is still accurate? Level scaling is done by the gem? So reanimating in merciless act2 is fine to use in t15? Wiki says: "NB: Spectres keep their original monster-level, so players can't take a normal monster into Merciless and expect it to survive even one hit." Does this mean I have to get them from maps like Tropical Island etc for better survival? Little confused, haven't played specters. |

" From the wiki: "Monster Level - Spectres are downscaled with zone level. So level 70 Spectre in a level 25 zone will be level 25. However a level 25 Spectre will still be level 25 in a level 50 zone." Spectres from A2N will have level 60something. Which, according to Saltychipmunk, is fine in high tier content with the insane amount of extra life he gives them. However, tropical island monkeys will obviously be better, if you want to start every session with a TI map. 3.5 build: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2299519

" Since 2.5 they also made Spectres much easier to obtain. If you have a spectre active (a2m monkeys) and cast desecrate in a map, your spectres are added to the list of monsters that can show up. It's still annoying for setup, but you can get a2m monkeys, step into a t15 and spam desecrate until you get ilevel 82 monkeys. |

the monkeys in that video were the ilevel 60s from act 2.
prior to having a good set of jewels and all the minion life nodes it will make sense to abuse that mechanic to get good spectres. it also depends on your curse setup as well.. curses are a huge part to keeping your minions up. all about layering defensivly those specters enjoy the benefits of : 8-10% life regen 180% minion life 58% curse effect temp chains 58% curse effect enfeeble over capped resists so if you dont have close to that kind of defensive investment setup then you will need to make sure your frenzy monkeys are of proper ilevel for your content. |

Thx all.
Forgot the ascendancy also gives 100% specter life, so base life should be ok. I was wondering as I couldn't test it, will Phasing applied to minions improve AI theoretically? I know with melee Golems, their travel time is rather high because of poor targeting, where the target is unreachable or path blocked resulting is a semi idle golem. If with Phasing they can attack in a straight line, unhindered it might be something to look into for clear speed? |
