Is there are preferred video card for this game?

GTX 1080. As for any other game. SLI preferred.

May or may not be helpful but I have been playing this game on a GT 545....basically in todays terms that seems ancient. I have shadows off (who really needs them) but everything else on medium or high and have no issues. Rogue Exiles can pop from boxes without any lag anymore. The only time I have lagged for a mili-second was the Prophecy where enemies sneak attack you upon killing another.

I'd say card is not as important as ability to play at right gate and don't have any DC builds in party :)

There are builds that will drop you out of game, no matter how good is videocard or CPU :)

100$ card is enought for Full HD.

I got a GTX 750 Ti, and this served my POE needs. Faster than my old Radeon HD6850 and didn't need a powersupply plug as well.

Not a GTX 960 Strix, that's for sure.

I currently use my GTX 1080 Founders Edition as my gpu....NVIDIA works well with Path of Exile!
