Is there are preferred video card for this game?

I was playing my necromancer, had 10 minions, 4 spectres and numerous Raging Spirits on the screen. I just finished a battle, then suddenly my computer screen went black.

It was my Radeon HD 6850 that went out. Thank goodness nothing else. The card served me well.

I play this card frequently enough that I would like something that will run well one. I know this game is not graphically intensive, and the developers are frequently trying to fix the delay or lag issues.

Considering the latest patches and all, can anyone recommend a brand or type of video that will work especially well (or poorly) with this game?

Thank you!

nVidia seems to be the preferred.
U MAD?
yup, don't go for AMD, I fried my HD7870 dead pretty fast in 2.5
But this could be coincidence, the worst is, that at lowest details current HD4400 (potatoe intel gpu.) runs poe better than HD 7870 used to run, also at lowest. (HD7870 is midhigh-end card, Witcher3 at high with stable 60fps)

Thanks for the suggestions guys.

I'm going to look for NVIDIA cards then. Leaning towards a GeForce GTX 750 Ti. Will have to consider power draw also...

Can even a good card handle 4 spectres doing a Discharge spell?? haha

.. i mean, even ONE discharge without lag or desync?

dunno but even guys with K series i7 and 1080 gtxs could find stuff for crashes their setups pretty well

btw poe seems to make use of 1-2 cores max, so better take strong i3 than weak i5 imo
and for sure dont chose amds cpu

I get a 1050 gtx screams and only like $100. If you want to spend $200 GTX 1060 which is twice as fast

Rest are a waste of money. Talking like 10-20% faster for hundreds more.

I was always staying top of the line like have a GTX 980 for $600 now 1 gen later $200 card is just as fast. I'll never do this again. $200 is sweet spot. But for this game or any game at 1900 lines you only need the $100 card.

Depends. If you're trying to run VR, the higher priced cards can make a huge difference.
VR is far from mainstream... barrier to entry is like 2K (HS controllers VC) so I didnt even mention it. 1060 will do most titles fine tho

Go Nvidia because game is developed with Nvidia assistance

but if you happen to have you CPU also to change soon, dont forget to get minimum i5, because this game bottlenecks with CPU
ZiggyD is the Labyrinth of streamers, some like it, some dont, but GGG will make sure to push it down ur throat to make you like it
Keep in mind what monitor you will be using.

This combination has worked very well for me:

Nvidia 970
i5 6600
LG 27" 4k monitor
