awesome build hoping i get to hit lvl 100 this league!

i just gotten 3 primordial jewels and build seems pretty good pre minmaxing :)

for the legion content a self cast convocation (group up minions) seems to get the notable spawns killed relatively reliably :)

Hello :)

Great for hear that you like the build, thanks for support! ^^

Level 100 is definitely doable, but needs some planning after lvl 95 as deaths can be very punishing. I can highly recommend next tricks to reach lvl 100 :

After level 95+ I recommend :
1) Hosting t12+ rare map parties (parties clear faster and are safer)
2) Joining rotations (6 players each run expensive EXP gain map in their turn)
3) Buying high EXP maps with low risk (Poorjoy's Asylum, etc)

If you are part of any active guild, it will helps a lot in finding mapping company. Golemancer guild has free slots if you are interested in joining.

I actually started to level Golemancer in legion already, so will definitely test the self cast Convocation trick!

What about the new passive wicked ward ??? Not worth taking it or more personnal choice?

And i was thinking droppimg winter orb to get something like spell totem or maybe orb of storm to make it easier on monolith fight to target enemy for your summon

Hey :)

I tested is briefly, but came to conclusion that it's not very useful to the build. My reasoning was :
- Build is not actual ES tank, so if you take lot of big hits in short time you die faster than what es recharge can help.
- Once you take 1-2 bigger hits and ES runs low, you want to run from enemy as far as possible and kite all the time Phase Run up, which gives enough time to recharge ES back normally. If you get 3rd big hit between the 2-4 seconds that wicked ward matters, you will probably we dead anyway.
- Build wants to stay rather far from enemy already, which gives usually enough time to recharge ES back with its normal rate. Consecutive hits are pretty rare with all minions drawing aggro if keeping the distance.
- Build does not have enough block / evasion to make sure that the 2 second time is reached for first recharge to start. This is lot easier for trickster or similar char with lots of evasion and other ways to avoid damage.

I think Wicker Ward is most useful for builds like Trickster, where you want to stay close to enemies, while also being able to avoid damage long enough for ES recharge to actually start. It's still definitely worth testing it out yourself as it's only 3x nodes away from default tree.

I'm just starting league, so have no idea about how monolith fight works. Have to see it myself when I reach legion packs.

I cant grasp how I am supposed to get in contact to join the Golemancer Guild. The Discord linked ont he PoE Site for Communities doesnt work and all the People mentioned in the posting come up as "The specified character does not exist" - obviously people are joining, so there is a way, but I'm too stupid to figure it out myself.

Hello :)

Just sent you an invitation. Welcome to the guild!

Discord channel is not run by me as it's community created and I don't own mic to join it. It's used occasionally by guild members, but I prefer guild chat as it's nice to read the chat log.

You probably tried to PM using player-name instead of character-name. I try to write about it in how to join the guild.

UPDATE

TUKOHAMA VANGUARD DAMAGE CALCULATION CHANGE

There might be small change coming to builds DPS calculation in PoB.

https://pastebin.com/tkwrcve9

Here's the default Pob that lists Tukohama Vanguard damage per totem = 140 k DPS

Old 140 k DPS x 3 (Specs) x 2 (Totem per spec) = 780 k DPS total

However it seems that if Specters level is not manually set, it calculates damage for TV raised from lvl 70 area, which is level 20 raise Specters gem level. However when setting Spec level to 84 which is Shaper map monster level, DPS changes a lot.

https://pastebin.com/e939JUV9

Here's same Pob with lvl 84 Spec level set manually with TV damage per totem = 312 k DPS

New 312 k DPS x 3 (Specs) x 2 (Totem per spec) = 1,872 k DPS total

So Tukohamas are actually doing over double damage compared to original PoB. If somebody can confirm this, I would be grateful. I found sources here :

https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/74fxu8/question_spectre_level_on_pob/

If this is true, I will update TVs DPS to it's true value.

With new values my lvl 100 char would have :

https://pastebin.com/iR0HCeYd
Old 236 k DPS x 4 (Specs) x 2 (Totem per spec) = 1,888 k DPS total

https://pastebin.com/3q4Bgq1B
New 530 k DPS x 4 (Specs) x 2 (Totem per spec) = 4,240 k DPS total

I always wondered why bosses died so fast with old numbers ^^

Hello :)

Glad to help ^^

UPDATE

I upgraded all guides PoBs to show real Tukohama Vanguard DPS. I verified from multiple sources that this is how Specters really work and old version was incorrect.

I also added Animate Guardians gear list in "notes" and added it's buffs to helmet in each variant to calculate real DPS.

Hello :)

Thanks for support! Guild has been extremely fun to run is full on great players. Your welcome and your brother also if you like to join and plays mainly Golemancers.

Do you mean the multi-curse spell totem debuff Golemancer? I think I have seen one players run that setup and hes char was very different from my build.

I would maybe go for "Ancestral Bond" to get dual totems to spread curses, but triggering Elemental Equilibrium would be harder then.

Primordial chain and Elementalist seems like logical choice as you lose too many slots to run Specters with Golems.

In theory you could go for my skill tree, drop extra curse nodes, swap Golems to helmet and armor to Doedres and place Spell totem + curses there. Doerde is heavily ES item, so I would go for hybrid instead of pure HP build.

I would stack as much ES on rare items as possible and run something as close to my own tree as possible and change it later to compensate for armor change.

Hey :)

I haven't tried it myself, but I can do some points :

Flame Golems 101
- Can teach pretty much everything about Golemancer and Necromancy
- More passive gamestyle (Lots of automated and passive skills, optimized for 1-button play-style)
- Better defenses for new players as Temporal Chains is always on as aura and shield gives block chance

Golems Still OP
- Easy to setup (maybe 10 pages to read vs small book)
- More active to play (Manual curses and Convocation triggering, some players like more engaging play-style)

Both work very effectively and can deal with all map content easily. I guess the choice comes mostly down to if you want to run only Golems or go for mixed Necromancer.

Going for Specters means your wont be pure Golemancer, but it's hard to pass over 2 mil Tukohama Vanguard DPS that doesn't need re-positioning during fights.

You can also mix both builds if you know what you are doing as they are close to each other. My elementalist variant has extra Golems + Ball Lightning + Gmp on chance to blind gloves to get automated blind for the build by Golems. It also uses "Death's Door" boots to get immunity against bleeding as Elementalist removed the negative line and boots also have great stats. You can take part here and part there and create your own setup ;)

Hey Mika,

Just started building my golemancer recently. Not too far along yet with her since I was having a lot of fun with ED + Cont and haven't had too much time this league to play.

I wasn't sure I was even going to try a golemancer this league since the minion targeting issues I felt could be fairly annoying to deal with when it comes to unlocking the monolith enemies. I bought my 6-link for my ED character but haven't yet been able to colour it (being a pure evasion base) and so thought I would give golems a go whilst farming chromes to hopefully colour it at some point.

So far I am pretty happy with golems this league. I've tried to go pretty tanky (well as tanky as a zero budget build allows) though since the legion mobs felt scary on my ED character. Unlocking the legion mobs is ok. Nowhere near as nice as unlocking everything with one ED + Contagion cast but then I doubt anything feels quite as good as that this league. Still, on open maps I am probably unlocking 75% to 85% of the stuff; at least so far in yellows.

I've gone Elementalist CI and am stacking some armour with the memory vault helmet and running determination. This gives me about 11k armour just running around and 35k armour with flasks popped. This in turn with a vaal molten shell gives me a protective barrier of almost 20k damage for the 9 seconds it lasts. Pretty much immortal when it's up and with vaal discipline too if I need it. Only 7.5k ES with very basic gear and only lvl 84 ATM. Hopefully get that up to 8k - 9k with better gearing. One nice thing is that the witch / templar ES nodes are actually good when you do start armour stacking through a memory vault.

The idea will be to transition to a TV spectre setup later on and then use it more for bossing and my ED character for map clear. TV spectres will require an almost total gear change so it will be a fairly long term project assuming I keep enjoying the league.

Good luck in the league yourself Mika :)
