2.5.2d Patch Notes

Patch 2.5.2d
  • Fixed a bug where textures could fail to load and cause a device error.
  • Fixed a rare bug where DirectX 9 clients would not display the UI.

This patch has been deployed without a server restart.

Edit by Chris: We're reverting this patch for now because there are a few people who say they are crashing due to it and we're not sure how widespread that is. We'll redeploy once we know it's safe.

Disk usage 100%, stuttering not just poe but whole pc

Oh, it is just poe update allocating i don't know how many gbs for a 10mb update.
I can't play anymore. Obvious memleak after ~15 minutes which ended with Windows message box in the background - "Allocation error". I got it only because I heard beep in the background. After error game froze entirely. I hadn't any exceptional disk or CPU usage, tho. I wish I could help you with some debugging, but I barely could move my mouse.

PS: But if your app is logging such things somehow, then yeah, check logs of my account, as I was affected.

This patch was certainly intended to resolve these. We'll need to keep an eye on it to confirm these are now fully fixed.

i still get game crashes when i use 'exit to character selection'.
been like that for some time now
I can also confirm after the patch I am noticing what appears to be a memory leak also. The game is fine for maybe one map, but when I change zones, change characters, or just let it sit the game drops way down from 200+ FPS to 28 (I have a GTX 980Ti for reference with 64 gigs of ram).

Seems like a memory leak to me.
