" This is a troll right? Most optimized? 5400rpm HDD? 1.75GHz CPU? You'd need an SSD and 3.5GHz CPU, as well as a decent GPU, to come close to optimized on highest settings with DX11. I'm sure OP doesn't want to build a potato PC just to have to edit that config file and set textures to 5 for Path of Runescape. Last edited by Vyrtualis#7818 on Jan 27, 2017, 2:00:28 AM

Current setup:
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170-Gaming-K3 CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K , cooled with Antec Kühler 620 watercoolant set GPU: Asus GeForce GTX 970 4GB-BLACK RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury 8GB DDR4 2400MHz Storage: OCZ Agility 3 128GB SSD + Intel M.2 250GB SSD Setup is self-built ofc, pre-built PC's disgust me. Runs all the games i've played so far on maximum settings. I like Hardstyle. Also cats. Last edited by M4kk3#2308 on Jan 27, 2017, 4:19:00 AM

I'm curious are there any official system requirements? I've only found external sites.

" I think this might be the hardware of an Xbox One. You do not need an SSD - but it's nice to have. Friend of mine runs the game fine and he has got all decent hardware but an SSD. However, I agree that once you've had an SSD you don't want to look back. Best deal is one of the refurbs at newegg with an SSD and large ram. Like this
https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883162969 These are high end business machines with good parts Then buy a 1050 GTX for $100 And your all good for less than $400. My computer is high end. Like my water blocks cost more than that whole setup but I advise against it. Wasted money should have put in ROTH IRA account. Git R Dun! You absolutely want INTEL CPU if POE is your prime focus. Sure, the game might work fine but it might work like shit as well. Certain AMD chips have issues with PoE.

" Yes, that would be certain AMD GPUs - CPU is not relevant here. And since they're forking to Xbox, which runs on AMD, I guess even that won't be true for much longer. Bird lover of Wraeclast

AMD CPUs also burn way more energy means more noise to cool, more power needed. I don't know why anyone uses them. Third rate cones of real deal which copies intel.
Same with AMD GPUs. Second rate since there is only two competitors, but way inferior to nVidia. Git R Dun! Last edited by Aim_Deep#3474 on Jan 27, 2017, 5:27:46 AM

My current system build:
Main Asus Maximus VII Hero Intel Core i7 4790K @ 4.4 GHz Corsair Vengeance 32GB DDR3 @ 2.4 GHz Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming 4GB @ 1.4 GHz / 7.0 GHz Creative Sound Blaster Z Samsung 850 EVO 3x250GB SSD Powered by a Corsair CS750M Built into a Coolermaster Cosmos-S Side Asus VG248QE 24" 144Hz 1080p Kingston HyperX Cloud Razer Black Widow Chroma Razer Death Adder Chroma Razer Fire Fly Chroma My advice to you is that you should always keep your hardware in the same "tier" so that you get maximum synergy out of your system. Do not spend lots of a graphics card and go cheap on your mainboard or CPU, because your cheapest component will be the bottleneck of your system and you will have wasted a lot of money on a GPU that spends its time picking its nose waiting for the rest of your system to catch up. Gaming systems are expensive, and for good reason. So if you cannot afford top tier hardware currently, take everything a step down. It's not going to be a bad system if you make sure it all runs in harmony with little to no bottlenecks. An SSD is cheap now and increases operating system performance and loading times in games dramatically. I would highly advise you to get one of those at least. Apart from that: Intel is overall better than AMD for CPUs, but more expensive. nVidia GPUs overall perform better than AMD, because development studios work more closely with them. From what I understand, some people have had issues with AMD on PoE, so be advised. nVidia cards are slightly more expensive. For good memory you need to look at CAS latency times more than the clock speeds of it. Often time people believe clock speed is all that matters when in fact, 1.6GHz memory with CAS latency of 9 is faster than 2.4GHz memory with a CAS latency of 13. See it as "Less" modifier in PoE terms, haha. Another piece of advice for you, if you're someone who spends a long time in a row playing, it might be a good idea to go for a 144Hz screen. The colors of these screens are slightly more washed out because of the sheer speed of refresh rate, but it's so much more smooth in games and more importantly, for your eyes. It has solved my personal headache issues. There are many more things I could go into with you in full detail, but I'm at work right now and I'd like to not get fired, so good luck. :D Carry on my waypoint son, there'll be peace when maps are done.
Lay your portal gem to rest, don't you die no more. 'Cause it's a bitter sweet symphony this league. Try to make maps meet, you're a slave to the meta, then you leave. |
