recharge != recovery
that's stuff for occultists, not for us.
No rest for the wicked

I'm using Ascent From Flesh Belt, lots of ES, all res, phasing+dodge and it's pretty cheap.
So I had a question for how EE works on this build. I'm running something similar (not really), but I'm life based and running RF, but I'm I'm using the same vortex set up and orb of storms to curse.

Do I have to use orb of storms first to proc EE and reduce fire/ cold damage? I'm not sure if I need to use vortex and orb of storms in a particular order.

Sometimes, it seems like mobs and no resists and melt and other times something doesn't feel right

Multiple EE strikes will overwrite each other. The effect lasts 5 seconds or until being overwritten.

SO after you put an orb of storms, you will get EE proc for the first vortex hit and you better pray you ignite an enemy, otherwise for the next vortex cast monsters will already have cold/fire resist.

I personally prefer spamming vortex rather than just 1tap and watch monsters burn, so I dropped EE from the tree.

You're missing huge amounts of damage without EE. You can still spam Vortex, stronger burns overwrite weaker ones. I've also managed to fit Tempest Shield on CWDT into my setup for more EE shenanigans.

Gear check lvl 90 LHC, 10.4k ES:

5 linked 4 Beast Fur Shawls so far... they sell quickly though so I can keep funding my 6l attempts (plus Uber lab is ez profit.... yesterday's was really good, managed about 15 runs and made ~200c)

Well you get 8% regen from inquisitor ascendancy, that alone is really nice for most content. But as you get more and more from the tree it just gets better.

Maybe I did not see it but I counted 0,5 + 0,5 + 4 regen. Oh wait you already calculated the multiplier of the chest into it... 6+2,34 = 8,34% or?

I dont want to base all my defense on the es regen it should more be an addition... and I am not sure if it makes sense if I dont go all in on it.

I am not sure if I understand the math correctly... does 39% es regen mean... the 8% of the ascendancy would be multiplied with it... so instead of 8% I would get about 11% es regen per second. Not sure if I calculated this right in my head ;)
