Leagues should just be a fresh ladder/economy, with early access to new uniques/mechanics. Putting little mini versions of temp league stuff into standard through a zana paywall or with vastly reduced occurrence is alienating one group of customers.

The only universal appeasement for games like this is an offline client (separate saves) that players can choose to patch or not (or apply modular content patches). That way, if they don't like a particular balance update or league content addition, they can opt out and keep their characters as-is.

offline client is a no go. if support money runs dry, chris personally pulls the plug and the game is over. he said that several times.

I really don't agree with stuff like 'as a normal player you will never reach a good build'.

Maybe if you lack the discipline and imagination to look a bit further than build guides, you'll find yourself stuck in playing the same builds as everyone else. Builds are usually not nerfed that fast (many builds will last for at least a league, which takes up to 3 months). Plenty of time to achieve high end content.

PoE is for the creative players. I guess you're not really one if you can't even manage to get one good build rolling to clear fairly simple content as Atziri or Uber lab. It's also ironic you think playing temp leagues is boring, but then stating you did like maybe 50% of the available content. I assume you didn't get further than let's say T10 if you didn't even kill Atziri yet.

Levelling masters is optional - just farm some currency if you want to get mods. It's up to you to level them. I barely put effort into it anymore. It takes a long while indeed but just buying a mod from someone else is fine too.

TL;DR: I really sense some lack of creativity from your side and willingness to put a little effort into developing your characters. Personally I think that you could have known all of this at the end of A4 normal.

So yeah, have fun finding a new game and I don't think you will be missed.

I'd love the challanges of league, on a per char/toon thing. I don't care about the MTX or rewards.

It's def 'boring as hell' to have the 'level too 100' before 'mass nerf on your hard earnt gear'. As about 'THE' only real thing to be doing in standard.

It would help LOTS with the 'kick in the balls' as they change up meta/the way builds work.

Take SRS 'nerf' endgame. That summoner char, could be fun to 'rework' without the focus on soo much cast speed. It'd be fun to rework it, to use say Bone Offering instead of Flesh, work out that sexy replacment for Spell Echo. Could I work in the new sexy golem stuff ontop?
IF there was something to 'do' it wouldn't be 'pointless' and feel like such a kick in the balls.


Also, they SOO better give us Offline Mode/Server code to do our own when GGG decides to pull the plug. Pretty sure the amount we all spend on MTX/Supporter packs, we can get plane tix to NZ and have a mob of 'real life exiles' with pickaxe & pitchforks on Chris's lawn ;-P
