That sounds suspiciously like it could be even worse. Are they referring to the damage from *attacks* with this weapon, or limiting the bonus damage to only gems socketed in these weapons? If we have to drop to a 3L setup, that will absolutely murder this build.

That would indeed completely destroy the claws.
But I don't think it's what they mean. They say "lightning damage added to attacks... with this weapon" so it applies to attacks with the claws, not the gems socketed in them. The only difference with the current situation is that the claws don't buff each other.

Anyway, as I said without leech the build is dead. What could save it is if they decide to make some changes to what they have announced and give us something like ES gain on hit or some other way of reliably filling up ES. Going life is very difficult for intel based builds and hybrid sucks (especially since you can only leech life) unless they make changes to help it.

We'll have to wait and see. With the current announcement ES will be much worse than life is now so there is hope that will change in the beta.

Level 100 with this awesome build, i'll post my final thoughts just for info and for those who dont check Aixx's thread and need some help / info.


Current stats in ho with auras ( HoT + Discipline + Wrath ) + Lightning Golem

Dps with GMP : 73'5 k / 95% chance to hit / 4.85 aps

Dps with SP : 125 k

Resistances : 143 /143 / 143

Mana : 1901 / 247(free)

ES : 11.202

Dps Fully buffed with auras , golem , totem, vaal haste and flasks : 289 k with gmp , 493 k with sp.

"Theorical" improvements I could make : better left ring = +2 k dps
Eyes of the greatwolf ammy with % atributes + % lightning damage = +insane gain of dps ( 5-6 k dps? maybe more)
- discipline + empower 4 = +3'5 k dps ( I tried this one but I lost 1'8 k ES so not worth it with my gear, maybe with insane 950 ES Regalia + 500 Hubris it would be best option )
40% spec throw enchant = + 4 k dps? . This option is only viable if u dont use discipline aura

So my guess is that with perfect gear + perfect quad gems this build could get around 90-95 k dps , but I dont have the patience to test it out considering the big nerfs that are coming.

The way it looks, they will completely kill a large chunk of ES builds. If this is the case, I'm giving up this game. I'm not going to spend another 3-6 months clawing my way to a end game viable build only to get nerfed into oblivion again and again.

This is just a ridiculous cycle of work being crushed out of existence, over and over.

Btw I was wondering about elemental overload, is 6% critchance enough to proc it?

or should i get more critchance on jewels?

When clearing trash you almost always have it on bosses is trickier especially when there is no trash to help you proc it its your call really. It gives you a very high damage boost but as i said on bosses its hard to proc it. It's 5 points after all but there isn't much else to put your points into unless you spec into Heart of Thunder cluster which will give you about 40% of proc'd elemental overload (sorry for the lack of sense in this sentence, very tired)

Is this Build going to pull out anything after a CI and energy shield nerf ? I realy want to try spectral throw, and this seems the only reasonable build o.O

A first attempt at how this could work with life on the new tree.
Life pool is not huge but it's decent. We lose intelligence of course. The intel-ES-damage synergy is ideal, can't really beat that with life.
