"Scamming"
|
If you're trying to make an offer on a priced item you feel is a bit too much or trying to offer mixed currency for that item the best way to do this without pissing someone off is leave the original listed message and at the end THEN type in "i would like to know if you are willing to take XXX please" Or "I would like to offer XXX instead for the listed item please"
This way they know you are not trying to scam and the worst they will say is simply No Thank You. If the item is listed fixed price chances are they are not going to accept another offer either so dont waste your or their time. If they have something listed for 5C and you change that to 3C and they go to get the item and see its posted for 5C they are going to tell you to fuck off and most likely ignore you. Because it looks like you are trying to pull a fast one on them and i see this multiple times every single WEEK. And it gets old too. I always leave the original copy of their listing with their original price so they know you are not trying to pull any shit and legitimately trying to just make an offer. There is a fine line between Consideration and Hesitation. The former is Wisdom, the latter is Fear. Last edited by Demonoz#1375 on Dec 25, 2016, 2:21:38 AM

" Yes, people have different perspective on things. You asked about it in your opening statement on why people would think you are scamming. The answer is simple, what you did is unethical. If you are wondering why people ignore you or think that you are a scammer or a bad person, this is the reason. And yes, you will fool some players with that price change method. It does not change the fact that you are being unethical. I am unsure why you think virtual trading is so different from real life trading. Do you not shop online? Can goods and services not get exchanged to same way virtually as real life? |
