Nope, if you have a master at level 5, you can update the hideout, and again at level 7.

It then holds 4 and 8 masters respectively. Leo doesn't count (takes up no HO space), so it's actually 5 and 9.

There really should be a manual. Been saying this for ages, actually since I started playing.

Since you seem very uninformed (not your fault), be sure to check this page:
http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Vendor_recipe_system

It's the unofficial official wiki and has a lot of useful information - some of it may be outdated.

WOW really? That's great! I need to work hard on masters' missions then! LOL... :P
Thanks a lot, and thanks for inviting me as friend! ^^

This has always been the case with this game, and for some of us was what made it appealing in the first place. PoE is not a game for the casual arpg player who wants their hand held as things are just given to them. The steep learning curve is what makes the game more interesting for many of us. That there are community resources and members who have taken their own time and effort (and money) to develop content that is helpful for new players is another thing that makes PoE great. Have you played Diablo 2? That game explains NOTHING in terms of mechanics. Even less than PoE.

You're aware this exists? http://classic.battle.net/diablo2exp/ aka Arreat Summit.

Don't spend currency like that on lvl 48 items. You'll out level it in hours of play.

Yes, but that is not IN the game... so it is no different that the resources we have, like the Wiki...

You're aware of the PoE wiki?
Yep, I'm aware of the PoE Wiki. But while Arreat Summit is officially official, the PoE Wiki is not. It's (the PoE Wiki) filled with data people scrounged from reddit, forum posts and so on.
So imo there's a big difference between the Arreat Summit and PoE Wiki.

About the wiki and documentation, I think if GGG can design the PoE UI more intuitive enough, then perhaps many things can be figured out and lesser search & reading are required. Many related opportunities are made unaware when performing certain tasks, like forging the sockets; so perhaps when the new player is forging an item socket for the first time, a screen should pop-up providing a list of opportunities in improving a particular action, e.g.:

"

------------

You can improve the outcome by:

1. Improving your item quality before forging.
2. Forging a higher level item.
3. Gaining higher reputation level with Master Vorici.
4. Blah blah blah...

Add to my goal list.

------------

But of course, there will be too much work for GGG, which can be very costly for them to do, while others may think that such feature may "dumb down" the game and the players, but for me, improving the player's gaming knowledge as they play can make the players more excited about the game along the way.

Basically, by improving the players' awareness and knowledge through in-game, it helps to prevent some noobs (like myself, LOL) from giving up the game too early while it is in fact a very interesting game that full of many great things to be discovered.

But in general, I LOVE PoE, really, as it just keep me thinking, LOL... :P
