One day one of you will make a unique good as Skyforth.
Anyone have a clue as to what the probability of chancing Skyforth is?

" What I intended to say is that she seems amazing for blade flurry, I can see assassins putting her to great use due to the high base crit. The blind helps agains enemies that get close enough to hit you, and increased attack speed is always welcome. Due to the high amount of added fire damage, reflect monsters might become a problem, but I think enough leech and vaal pact +fire resist (which we need to stack anyways) will help there. Adding large amounts of flat phys and crit multi (did I just hear someone say "abyssus"?) will further improve these points. With assassin we can use the physical damage for poison and bleed and all that nonsense and still get a huge amount of additional fire damage, which causes ignites, making damage over time even more effective. Her being a guarenteed 6l is DEFINITELY the huge advantage we have there. The Goddess Unleashed is the only 6l weapon that can be used with blade flurry. I really wonder, how the combination of one of the most popular and overused skills with one of the most underused swords will turn out... but at this points the damage potential seems quite impressive. Should I be able to get my hands on her this league, you can be sure that I'll have quite some fun with her... but damn, she really likes to play "hard to get". I make dumb builds, therefore I am.

Double Strike as a skill is literally just pretty much "attack faster: the skill" - there's not a lot to design an MTX around. You could maybe make the character go DBZ-blurry while attacking, but besides that...? There's not really anything to it, as a skill. It's such a basic skill, which is why it's not in a good place - attacking twice with a melee weapon, for less damage...? Multi-strike shows how this is generally a bad idea - you get fun builds as a result of using DS, but they aren't effective precisely because you need attacks which penetrate and splash, not softer, more frequent taps.
Last league, I tried Duelist-Slayer-DS. It was fun. I got huge DPS numbers on my tooltip. And then I switched to reave/lacerate and there wasn't really anything more to say about the skill. Even with single-target in mind. I tried using Lacerate this league, then I replaced it with Blade Flurry. Blade Flurry not only does more damage, but it has like three times the area of effect. " YES. YES. YES. Say it again louder for those GGG devs in the back. A Melee Attack skill should not look like fucking Arcane Torrent from Diablo 3. Thankfully, it looks "melee enough" when I use Concentrated Effect on it, so I can stand using it on 2 of my characters. It still kinda pisses me off in dark areas (where you can see the green splash more than the sword strikes), but it looks adequately melee in well-lit areas. Need game info? " I still feel that melee skills should be dealing more damage than spells or ranged attacks due to the added danger, and namelock melee skills even more so. But that doesn't seem to be how GGG want it. "Let those with infinite free time pave the road with their corpses." - reboticon

" I disagree in a sense - it's hard to tell what GGG wants. What they produce is the problem. They may be producing things as they are for a lot of good reasons. I totally agree with Qarl/Chris when they say they don't want to buff things AND THEN actually fix them. That just creates dumb situations where skill X dominates for many leagues and they can't fix it without angering everyone. My Keystone Ideas: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/744282

" "... when ES gets dethroned and life based builds are meta." Seriously? If you really believe that this is happening in POE ever you Sir are a fool! German saying: Schönheit und Funktionalität in Sekundenschnelle zu ruinieren, ist dem wahren Dilettanten keine Herausforderung!

" You people (you picky picky melee people) need to get on board with this idea: game pace across all genres has accelerated, and it's not going back to how it used to be. If that premise is true, then it is also true that the melee you and many others yearn for in this game is an impossibility. I mentioned this on page 937 of some GGG thread the other week, so I'm sure no one saw it, but it went something like this: I played the new Fire Emblem(s) on release some months ago. I then went to replay Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced afterwards. I am a patient person. I am an old school gamer. And I was blown away by how much the pacing had accelerated within what is possibly the slowest game genre in existence. The two games were night and day different in terms of combat pacing and speed of character development (for reasons both fair and unfair to square/enix). The costs associated with GGG changing the game to accommodate what I see some people wanting are too high - both for the fun of the majority of players and the GGG bottom line. [This is the opening to talk about old GGG, not that you needed an invitation.] I like Blade Flurry. Not using it (yet) this league - but I put it on a bunch of my standard characters when it released at the end of Essence. Including on my Goddess character <3 I enjoyed it because I felt like a monk when I used it. That's melee enough for me. I also enjoyed it because it seemed to splatter everything on my screen into small bits that could no longer hit me back. I can't separate those two reasons, so your guess is as good as mine in terms of which factor gets which % of the credit there. If you don't like the way plays (not you but you people), you can change that - as the soul above me somewhere mentioned. Don't take AoE nodes and run conc effects if it feels too splashy and mage-ey. Run into melee ranged of mobs before you begin channeling if you think it is 'too ranged'. And if you think it's too green...well...make a post on the forums about it :P You're right about the skill MTX of course... |

Whats more funny is some people still ask GGG to make "melee" viable while calling everything that hits more than 1 target "not true melee".
Yep,GL with that and your average map with 34523634623561 monsters one the screen. What you call melee died with TQ,the last ARPG where density wasn't a thing. So yea,EQ is melee and its viable. |
