No upgrade button and no gear slot and no currency slots
Give these 4 tab players a fucking chance to play! (Yep I have looooooads of only premium tabs so I speak for the new players) Give them a slim fucking chance to get some order -div cards added -maps added -essence added -perandus coins added -More currencies (sextants, vaal orbs) All since closed beta added but NOT ONE MORE TAB?!?!! Btw I give away most at end league, currency, items etc... My profile is open so u see I mean to help the "students and others, who can't spend a dollar or afford a creditcard or paypal or what not. I definitely wouldn't be opposed to seeing a few extra base stash tabs for newer players, although it's kind of hard to judge how many would be suitable when I've got more than 50 or so premium tabs. With so many more items that are nearly required for players to hoard that have been introduced since beta stash management seems like it'd be near impossible with only 4 tabs.
You pretty much HAVE to have at least 1 tab dedicated to currency, if not more. You pretty much need a tab for Divination Cards, maps and now Essences, which leaves you with no stash tab for your items. And if you don't have a currency stash tab, then you're probably going to need more down than 1 tab anyway, back before the currency tab was released I was sitting at 6 tabs alone for currency. 4 tabs is definitely not enough for a player to sustain themselves off of. However, you've also got to consider the fact that GGG needs to make a profit from selling optional micro-transactions, the most popular being stash space. Giving players too many tabs to begin with could hurt their profit quite a bit. Although, I have heard that the big spenders account for a majority of their profit, so who knows. Maybe 8 stash tabs as a starting point would be nice, but who knows. I've always been on the side that buying stash tabs is in no way pay2win, but at this point in the games development it definitely feels like it's approaching that point. I know players can simply 'mule' items onto other characters but having only 4 stash tabs would mean you'd be logging in and out hundreds of times a day just to find an item you need. |

anyone who can afford a computer able to play PoE, can afford a couple of quid to buy a tab or two... any student who can afford to get drunk, can afford to skip a pint and buy a tab or two ... no other 'free' game offers as much content without being pay to win, people need to stop being such cheapskates. I really don't buy the argument that people cannot afford one or two extra tabs, mtx are expensive for what you get, but tabs are really bloody cheap. If you spend enough time in the game that you need those tabs desperately, you will find a way to save up for a few extra tabs.

" You know what else has been added since closed beta? 2 Acts and about to add a third. There's a lot more actual content in the game now, and the price remains the same. The price will never go up, and more will be released. If the trend continues and 3.0 is monetarily successful, you can bank on at least a PoE 4.0 that you will also be able to come back and play for free. Is it more uncomfortable for free to play folks now? It sure is. Do they get a lot more when they drop 20 dollars now as opposed to when we dropped $20 in 2012-2013? It's not even close. |

" They can: 1) Get a parent or friend to pay for it. 2) Buy them through steam with gifted money. 3) Buy karma coin cards at a local store. 4) Contact support and make other arrangements. Probably a dozen other ways. Oh... and please give me one good reason GGG should care about kids playing their game that can't afford to chip in a couple bucks. As a 4 tab non-supporter I totally agree with the big spenders above.
We don't deserve free stuff. Free stuff only incentivizes begging. It's already a big cave in that they give anyone league challenge rewards. They should only be available to people that support the game. |
