You have now succeeded in completely and utterly removing Blade Vortex from any semblance of play. There is no longer any reason to use this skill in any way in any build. Earthquake can now attain a higher hit rate than Blade Vortex can, and Elemental
Hope everyone enjoyed BV while it lasted, and that they're prepared to convert all of their Blortex characters into Blurry characters. On the plus side, all my beloved Raiders are now going to be the bestest thingz ever. Frost Blades will be so much nicer when I don't have to care about finding room for Frenzy anymore to upkeep FCs against big gnarsty bosses, and Avatar of the Veil getting double the elemental damage buff is very yes. They were already my favorite Ascendancy, and it looks like I'll be making a lot more of them now that Pathfinder and any builds that worked on Pathfinder are dead. When I did the calculations to compare New Blade Vortex to Old Blade Vortex, I was really surprised at how drastic of a change it was.

Skill Balance Changes:
Blade Vortex has been refactored. Instead of separate hits for each active blade, the blades now increase the frequency at which all enemies in the radius take damage, and the amount of damage they take. The skill now has a base hit frequency of 600ms and has 10% increased hit rate per active blade. Its damage has been reduced by 30% at all levels and it deals 30% more damage per active blade. 14-264 * 20 = 280-5280 (14-264 - 30%) * 7 = 68-1293 * 5 = 340-6465 was 280-5280 per second now 340-6465 per second |

" I don't see why you took * 7 * 5 instead of * 20? The way I interpreted "30% more damage per active blade" was that instead of adding flat damage, it adds a damage bonus per stack so instead of 14-264 * 20 you would do (14-264 * 0.7) + (14-264 * 0.7 * 0.3 * 20) and add a multiplier of +0.1 per active blade [ (14-264) + (14-264 * 0.3 * 19) ] * (1 + 0.1 * 20) and then buff it all by 1/0.6 because of the base frequency change so all in all, using averages, the comparison would be (14+264)/2*20 = 2780 original damage [((14+264)/2*0.7) + ((14+264)/2*0.7 * 0.3*20)]*(1+0.1*20)/0.6 = 3405.5 new damage Wait what Blade Vortex was buffed?????????????????????????????????????????????
