The new upgraded eye of chayula will be insane for this build. so much es

I feel that Esh's Visage is much better, it has Insane amount of ES http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Esh%27s_Visage

+(40-70) to maximum Life
(240-260)% increased Energy Shield
+(30-40)% to Lightning Resistance
+(17-29)% to Chaos Resistance
Chaos Damage does not bypass Energy Shield while not on Low Life or Low Mana
Reflect Shocks applied to you to all Nearby Enemies

Esh's Visage is a shield.

The presence of chayula is the new amulet
Crispy23 i dont think the shield comment was for you, but for OP

My bad, i thought it was amulet, haha
Why don't you recommand this build for HC? With 20k ES and all the defensive stats and aura's you've got running, this build looks optimised for HC?

Yes because the gears used are very expensive to get to 20k ES unless you know how to play it safe, you can play HC :)
Hey nice build dude! Im also playing guardian ES based RF and have been taking down shaper, though not as smoothly since my budget is way way lower. My question though is why astramentis over for example a marble amulet. The int bonus from your astramentis gives you 115/5 = 23% ES, but you can roll 20% on a marble ammy, get additional flat ES, and have that 2% regen which is a massive amount. The BiS obviously though is an eyes of the greatwolf with 100% lightning/cold -> fire and 4% regen.

Life also makes us less tanky since our regen scales only with ES, while RFs self-damage scales with both ES and life.

I havnt done the math on the leo shild vs rotp and theres probably a breakpoint in ES but it probably doesnt make you more tanky and its just a tradeoff for more damage right? the 8% max res from rotp is a 50% damage reduction since without it we're sitting at 84% fire res unflasked and thats a big difference compared with the leo mod.

I choose astramentis over rare amulet simply because 115 to all attributes gives me 23% ES, 57.5 flat es and 57.5 life for flat armour rating. Marble amulet is a good choice if you favor more ES regen. Eyes of the greatwolf is a good choice but it's super expensive.

Life just increase our armor rating which is an additional benefits for taking less physical damage

RotP has only 1 advantage, more Fire resist which is 8%. Compare to a high es rare shield with Leo mod, (1) i have more ES. (2) i get more ES regen (RotP = 16.6k ES & 2.3k regen vs Rare = 20.6k ES & 2.9k ES regen) For the regen part, i don't have to worry much because of Leo's 20% reduce, Guardian ascendancy Time of Need can keep up with regen and also ruby & sulphur flask to help with the regen
Hey, i've been leveling a character to play with the build but i have a question about the links. You have additional curse in your tree, but the only curse i can see that you have listed that you run is the Witchfire Brew one? :)

Thanks for pointing that out, i double entered vaal disc on Helm and Shield. Helm suppose to be Orb of Storm + Curse On Hit + Flammability + Elemental Weakness

This build only runs 2 curses but once you pop Witchfire Brew, the curse will alternate between Flammabitliy, Elemental Weakness and Vulnerability, either way it will have 2 curses running at the same time but the main purpose of Witchfire Brew is for the DOT

Hope that helps.
How much budget do you need to think about this build?
