"Offering to the Goddess" -> I don't like this

Hey,

Sorry to be a downer, but I have a complaint. I'm sure this wasn't the intention, but the idea of hording "Offering to the Goddess" tokens in my stash doesn't jive well with me.

I'd like to be able to participate :)

I know I could just not play with these things, but I had to use one to get my character fully leveled. That sucks. And it means that I can't support, which I really enjoy and value.

I don't know how important one player's opinion is, but I will have to cease playing in the meantime. Which I have no problem doing, but will acknowledge that it was something I would rather not have had to do.

Sorry that this seems like an ultimatum (it isn't) -- I'm just explaining that I can't participate in good faith.

It just sort of occurred to me while I was staring at my stash. If I had realized earlier, I would never have played in the first place.

If any other Christian would like to challenge my decision, feel free to do so here, if you'd like. I'm willing to listen to your response.

Is your problem that you find "Goddess" offensive as a Christian?

Because if that is the case - if the game you play clashes with your belief system - I propose you either change your obnoxious belief system, or take your obnoxious belief system and go play some other game that goes well with it and doesn't trigger you.

And I also propose that in the future, you keep whatever problems your obnoxious belief system causes to yourself, because guess what? They are YOUR problems, caused by YOUR obnoxious belief system, and none of us care even the slightest amount about them. Deal with whatever it is yourself.

I tried to make this as cordial as I could. I sure as heck hope GGG places no weight in this stuff, just like they did in the past.

What makes you think it's referring to the christian god anyway? There were plenty of goddesses in greek and roman mythology that most people are familiar with.

And how can you in good conscience enter the sceptre of god knowing that it's the so called god Dominus' house?

Don't you have problem with demons, mutations, magical gems and, well, magic overall?
If I were you, I'd consult priest (or whoever you go to) whenever you are allowed to play video games such as Path of Exile at all. Pretty sure they will tell you it isn't ok.

So one item being called Offering to the Goddess isn't a problem at all. Sorry.
