It's a fantasy world. Ths are fantasy offerings are to fantasy gods. The monsters are fantasy monsters. The actions are fantasy. The story is fantasy. None of it is real. So why try to bring this fantasy world into the real world? You act like you bought a supporter pack and one piece of the real world goods they sent was a communion wager blessed by the pope. It's fantasy. Not real. Whatever you believe in real life should not be affected by some imaginary world created for entertainment.
I know somebody who didn't like that we are actually the bad guys in this game killing other humans for no reason. He much preferred games where all the enemies were monsters or demons so he could be the good guy. If you think about that, the op should not be playing this game at all since he can't separate fantasy from reality. Guild Leader The Amazon Basin <BASIN>

A lot of the actual creation myth is nowadays even dismissed by the church. They accept that there is evolution but say that god directed it (which is a bit less far fetched than those creationist ideas).
There is a lot of acknowledgement that a lot of things in the bible didn't happen. They are more like a fable, stories that have more educational purposes than actually saying what happened. Exspecially the first commandment though doesn't make sense. It is a very obvious tool used by humans to assert control. Because from a logic point of view if there is a true believe the first commandment wouldn't be necessary, since people would go for the true believe anyway, because it is the best option. If other religious options are better though just telling people those are bad and I will damn you if you go for them is kinda a childish move and more fitting for humans than for a god. Also god killed for very poor reasons during the stories in the bible. But he didn't do anything similar in our younger better documented story, which means those things either didn't happen or god fell asleep or changed his mind about killing people, which again would mean he is failable. So considering that god is a superior being he should have a plan or at least continuity in what he does, however judging from what we know he acts rather random, sometimes forgiving people, sometimes killing not just them but their whole family or destroying whole cities. Or maybe god got a girlfriend since then and she doesn't allow him to spend more time with his mortal followers than with her. |

Well, well, well. One troll topic and more post than any other topic with actual good idea how to improve the game.
FAITH IN HUMANITY. LOST ! |

" Honestly the exact opposite is true. Because a) the usual troll would be more inflammatory about his remarks so it is either a good troll or someone actually being serious. And trolls are like beer the bad ones are awful and just give you a headache, but the good ones can actually be enjoyable. And considering that it could all have sprouted from a troll it was well above average considering tone... well that's until now. Also we are in a gaming forum, every usual topic discussed here is rather meaningless and honestly that this thread gets a bit of attention might be because it is more pleasent to read it, because people are behaving a bit better than usual and it is actually taken less serious than balance decisions in a video game. |

" Well, it is a game. It doesn't matter what you believe in, it is just a game. And no matter what terms in this game are being used, it isn't "real". If your belief does not allow for distinguishing real life and actual religion from a game and it's lore, then you shouldn't be using the internet, you shouldn't be reading fantasy/science fiction books, and for what it's worth, you shouldn't even be watching TV as well. The way you come across here is exactly what gives people who openly confess that they believe in "something" a bad name. I am dead-serious here. There's many folks out there who think religious people are stupid, and this thread here is just the confirmation they are looking for. If your belief can't handle a confrontation with a fictional "religion", your belief is too weak for its own good. " Yeah, and here we have the next false dilemma. You say the game forces you to leave, but it doesn't. It's your belief that is the issue here. Seriously, you are the first religious person I have ever witnessed, that leaves a game because of its lore. And I have met quite a few religious people in my life, let alone that I am religious myself. Though you and your kin would deem me a heathen. All that being said, I do not have any issues with religion whatsoever, but you know what pisses me off? Religious people who are unwilling to adapt themselves and their religion to this modern day and age, while also having the nerve to blame anything but themselves for their own situation.
