handling guild membership for supporters
i don't "believe" in systems working reliably due to members trusting each other or in some anonymous friendship over the internet, epecially if the implementation supports abuse and money is involved.
the current guild system is a one way real money transfer system towards the guild leader because he can kick all members after a certain timeout and get's the stuff for personal use. that's a fact. ggg implementing such a system on one hand and not allowing point transfers between normal accounts is just not consistent imho. the majority of guilds may run successfully with this "system of trust" but in times of poe account sales on ebay it's just risky. there needs to be technical ways that prevents abuse. age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

before all guild leaders come here and claim that the system runs fine for them and there is no point in changing it: yes, you're right!
--- i would rather like to discuss the downsides of scrotieMcB's suggestion of a guild leader having to repay members he want's to get rid off. of course it will be a problem for a guild if a high value guild supporter is going rampage for unknown reasons because the guild cannot easily pay him out. i'm offline for the next days, feel free to discuss. age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!
