it's a damn wall. It's neither a totem, a minion or a golem. it doesn't move, interact, attack or follow you. It is simply a piece of terrain you create.

Maybe because you shoot your arrows OVER the walll? I thought the entire point was to create a barricade between you and the monsters. A blockade so they can't get to you. Not to create a pretend monster that you can use to trigger your skill effects.

Yeah, I tried to make a thread about it in Feedback (here), because the intended change both screws over all useful but non-broken use cases, and it's thematically stupid.

However, going by the replies I got so far, I'm just a salty whiner that wants to keep his stupid OP toys---no matter how many times I reiterate my actual point.


Anyway, having another thread for it in General is good, more exposure might mean GGG actually reads it and goes with the sensible option. Haha, who am I kidding, of course they won't.

Why would it be wrong if you use skills in a smart manner to make skills work in specific ways.
Other builds just use their main spell over and over again and that's it. For KB & Frostwall you
at least had to do a combo or actually do something besides just using one spell.

I also don't get why a god damn massive Frostwall you cast SHOULDN'T be impacted by your
projectiles you cast towards it. It's a FrostWALL after all.

So when your projectile hits a wall in game and explodes due to normal functioning of obstacle collision - you're actually just hitting a pretend monster to trigger skill effects?

If you learned to read, we have said, frost wall should NOT function like a monster like it did before which allowed for silly exploits such as triggering skill effects. Rather it should function like a normal obstacle which thematically makes sense and doesn't brick a ton of clever function you can get out of frost wall.

But, typical GGG instead of re-doing frostwalls 4 year old code they went for the simple band aid fix and turned frostwall into an ally, fixing trigger exploits but also destroying any sensible theme and any clever/synergistic interactions frostwall had.

I'm fine with what they did to FW.

I'm just hoping they bring back power charge interaction like it had previously so I can use it as a hilarious offensive spell with romira's banquet.
