Counterintuitive to the current clear speed meta: Slow the Game Back Down
" There is definitely much more stress playing melee yeah. I don't really like that Chris thinks that the game should be only basically rarely stressful. Like ... Invasion league was pretty fun actually tempest too, I really liked those kind of leagues .... but it's obviously over now :S They changed their original point of view, not for the worse of course ... but I liked those difficult leagues personally. SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

" I think the difficulty interview had some bade wording. To me it seemed pretty clear that they were more trying to say "Its fine if you turn the TV on while playing, we want you to do that, to an extent. However that extent is pretty short lived since we want end game content, maps, to provide enough mod combos alongside individual rare mob mod combos to make you need to pay most of your attention to the game often. It isn't supposed to be super stressful but you need to pay enough attention to your life and flasks to stay alive, you can't just brain dead kill everything. Furthermore, map bosses should be am even bigger challenge until you vastly out level them. We want it to be pretty difficult to have a character that can tank a boss no problem while balancing offense and defense. If you choose to make a super tanky, weaker dps build, that is fine, but you are going to sacrifice clear speed for being a lot safer." Melee skills with block and such seem to fit that tanky role that doesn't need to run from much, the problem is that they haven't give melee the option to be dpsers either, they pretty much have to go tanky and slow or go home.
