What happened to Zenocidegenius?

While this holds true, and after watching the podcast I can say it was (for the major part) a well thought out and critical thinking, I've also seen his first reaction - an angry rant, without any sense or arguments. A simple fuck you GGG, you're bunch of idiots kind of thing. Not sure if it was done on purpose, to get attention to the important matters, or a very emotional thingy.
Not to mention that if Zeno would say what PT said to the viewers, we'd be guaranteed a Reddit thread saying that Zeno is doing these nasty things again. Please, be objective. :V

Still, whoever says to break current (dumb) clear-speed-meta has my vote. :D

Also, please, while anyone can like or dislike Zeno, be civil about it, and imagine being in his place - reading all the stupid shit about yourself from so many people sure doesn't help anything.
If you really want to give criticism, make it constructive. Don't be a pitchfork redneck. :<

PT in general is a dry, cynical person who is mostly negative even about game series he generally likes a lot. it's just his persona imo. in podcasts he always will use thought out statements. the moments of 'fuck you' are first a bit dramatized (I mean, his phrase when you sub to him is 'go fuck yourself' ;))and also the only entertainment he can provide to people who dont like his dry style.

dont think the Zeno stuff was directed at me, but Ive never had a problem with Zeno. the ty 4 scam stuff while an asshole move was well within the rules, so all that crucifixion on reddit was quite hilarious to me. he also cared about the game, so it's quite surprising to see him quit like that, cold turkey-style and delete all his videos, which was helpful to a lot of players, as he generally played a lot of builds underrepresented in PoE.

The community loves harassing people whether it's for a legit reason or not. It's really sad.

Spoiler
:-D

Just having a laugh in a waste of time thread. Can't be arsed to care about these kind of things, contrary to popular believe i got more important stuff to do then show interest in some random dude on the internet i never met and either backing him up or crucifying him based on info i have no way of verifying.

I was going to type something here but then I remembered this thread is above
When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.

Definitely. Any of his failures (lack of sponsorships or whatever people are saying he's mad about) are his own fault. He made himself fairly unmarketable with his crass demeanor. He tried to market himself as a "tell it like it is" sort of guy, but the problem is that he pretty much just acted like a bitch to everyone, he didn't have an "in-crowd" he just shit on all his viewers/fans sporadically and seemed to like to argue and whine. I could maybe respect that if he fit the "tough guy" (or alpha) persona a little more, but he couldn't pull that off. Instead he just looked and talked like he was a desperate wannabe badass who thought all it took was a little shit talk and whining and ultimately it all just added up to make him pathetic.

Or at least that was my perception whenever I would load up his stream from time to time.

we are getting into a fairly chatty patty territory here

actually zeno was pulling a lot of views, and if anything ty4scam thing made him more popular. I dont think he quit because of lack of views or sponsorship or not being as marketable as someone as Ziggy. he was like third most popular poe streamer behind ziggy and mathil.

its kinda silly when you have no idea what zeno quit about, and yet still attribute it to his deamanor simply because you didnt like his streamer persona.

I'm now doing much greater things that will pay more than streaming and definitely more than anything SoE ever paid for. Cheers I appreciate the suggestion and kind words however

you remember that moment in your mind man i walk back to my old job and tell them what an awesome guy iam now

then you get clear in your head and think why the fuck should i do that

guess zeno missed that point

this is a behavior you expect from a 20-25 not from a mid 30s ... you all suck i get paid more i have a better job now

looks like he never matured

i remember that one, it was a awful move and i really felt sorry for her.
compared to that, the "thank you for scam" incident was rather funny and enjoyable for me.

In my opinion what's happening to Zeno is also part of the problem of professional streaming in general. When the streaming/entertaining/pro thing takes over the bare gaming factor, it's always for the worst, at least that's my opinion. That's why I only check streamers that are still "only" gamers, that are not playing the streaming game 100% and not "branding" themselves and all that kind of BS. It doesn't mean those guys can't have a big viewers base (guys like Nugi for example) but at least on their channels the stream itself is not its own goal, but the game still is.

On a side note, how this thing is going just reminds me of an other streamer who played a bit of PoE and designed a mace as a Diamond Supporter. Mainly D3 streamer involved in a lot of dramas, just recently got permabanned from Twitch. Well. Why I say this is because Zeno just like Kongor is the kind of guy who changes his opinions drastically on the fly on many topics. He's saying everywhere on Reddit right now that he never intended to be a professional streamer and was doing it for the games and for fun, yet almost all the talk time on his stream was about professional streaming, Twitch, streamers, streaming money, his professional life, streaming dramas and what not. He closed his YT channel, quit PoE and made a 180° turn on streaming as a career when a few days before they were still supposed to move in a streaming house with Yojy, LNB,... The only other "famous" Twitch streamer wich such volatile opinions I see was Kongor. Also, they are both big drama magnets.
