I love POE but I've watched the Lost Ark gameplay

Lost ark is some combo based thing so not entierly sure about that.

Lineage eternal looks good, but poe is still better.

But while I watched an offical gamepaly video, they stated lineage eternal is also an mmo.

Lost Ark claims to be an MMORPG, not an action RPG so i don't know if they are directly compareable.
I would rather take a look at Lineage Eternal.

lol Lineage eternal... an Arpg that was ready in 2011 but they waited to publish it

they are 5 years late, so was Diablo 3

Lost Ark Online looks great but it is difficult to compare with PoE, which was not based on fantasy nor historic based themes.


By the way, I was hugely disappointed when The Belly of the Beast areas were introduced, because it seemed to me a sudden shift from the realistic and ancient themed worlds toward a gro･tesque rather fantasy demonic based theme area. For whom with christian background, it might be felt not out of the place though, I don't know.


I really hope GGG keeps the direction toward the realistic and ancient themed worlds. Otherwise it seems much better going for fully fantasy or historic based themes which seems to have good cost effectiveness.

I've been following lost arks development for like 2 years now, looks like it could be very fun, but unfortunately if it is ever released outside Korea, it will follow the trend set in stone over there, it will be very, very, very, pay-to-win, and extremely grindy. I dont care so much about grind, but the pay to win bullshit would completely kill the fun for me at least.

Well, I see traps and platform elements in several YT videos. I tolerate the lab in PoE, but I would't go seeking the experience elsewhere :P

I'll take a look at Lost Ark because the lab, among a lot of other things, chased me away from this game.

What I have been eyeing lately is Wolcen. It's still in development in 'early release' on steam, but it is starting to look pretty awesome. They have a real game engine and things look so smooth. Not like a flat ground texture and walls with a few pieces of crap randomly thrown about.

Yea it was called umbra before. IT look awesome but they clearly copied poe in a lot of things

the eternal on Lineage refers to the development cycle, constant delays to betas (closed beta was originally announced for q1 2015), no real new information recently and its been in development since 2011, it was given a release date of 2016 or later when the closed beta was due to be in early 2015 so god knows when it will be released now.

Yeah, been waiting a while on it. And then I hear things like Asker Online being completely pulled out of existence and it fills me with dread. To showcase such interesting combat mechanics and then watch it all potentially fade into nothing... disappointing.
