state of scepters

it turned into a showcase pretty quickly - sad thing is (no offence intended) that these 'good' sceptres are mostly worse than Catalyst.. and by a long shot

i had an idea. what makes sceptres pretty redundant is lack of anything interesting on them. bit of ele damage (That matters only for DD and burns) instead of spell damage or crit is not enough.

have anyone here PLANNED their build around using a sceptre? was that a Catalyst by any chance? why? because dagger gives you whirl and crit - and both classes have 'rich' mods pool

maybe make sceptres roll 'ele damage' instead of 'spell damage' as their primary rolls? so implicit ele damage and ele damage from rolls up to Catalyst+ values. it would fit (as in - make sense to use deliberately instead of using when having good rolls) templar/burn/dd builds at least

Nub detected, GL doing chaos recipes without chest armours

Who needs chaos recipes when you can flip mirrors?

It's not a 13 week development cycle, it's a 13 week supporter-pack cycle.
You can play any build you want, as long as it's the current meta.

I feel like wands and sceptres have both been in a bad place since lightning warps duration was nerfed, and then the skill became bugged with lockstep and was just left in the gutter for so long while fortify was added that u could get with wb, that was a nail in the coffin tbh. The boost to their implicits has actually made them better than theyve ever been in a way but its hard to come back from all of that given what ppl care about in builds. Speed + survivability + crit vs increased damage?

I like the idea of simply adding ele damage at the regular spell damage values instead of spell damage, that would be super cool.

I dunno, I still use sceptres and wands on a lot of ele casters, I dont rly plan for either or, its just whatever the best thing I can get my hands on, personally Id prefer a sceptre because they look cooler but essentially its the same thing providing u are a completely elemental spell. But its true that the only time a sceptre is an advantage is a burn build and you would always use a catalyst on a burn build unless you really really needed the extra cast speed.
I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)
