FEEDBACK about 8 mod corrupted maps
Now this might seem obvious to some, but I didn't know that the monster attack/cast/movement speed counted as 1 mod. I believe this can be misleading to others as well.
I was buying the last 2-3 8mod maps I need to complete the challenge from poe.trade, and some guy listed a 8mod map that had those 3 affixes, which added up to more than 8. So obviously, I wasted my currency. I don't blame the seller, its highly possible that he/she didn't know this just like me. A simple fix like "Monsters have 18-22% increased movement/attack/cast speeds" or simply "Monsters have 20% (avg) increased overall speeds" would be much more easy to understand, as those speeds are usually all within +4/-4 range anyway. Same goes for other affixes on maps too. Whatever affixes together count as 1 should only be displayed as 1 affix, otherwise it confuses players and wastes time/currency. Have you never rolled blue maps ?
Really surprised that as a 36 challenges player, you did not know this honestly. One just needs to roll blue maps to know that this is only one mod. Having cast / movement / attack speed in one line could work I guess. SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

" Yeah I knew that they always roll at the same time, but not that they count as 1 mod. I guess I should have known better because otherwise non-corrupted maps can get more than 7 mods with the speeds affix. Or perhaps I knew at some point and then forgot about it. But just saying, condensing those 3 into a single line would get rid of all this confusion. |

just something to make this clear (as i see MANY people in 820 spreading missinformation. because they don't know any better or on purpose i can't tell).
a magic (blue) map can have 1 prefix and 1 suffix. this adds up to 2 mods. everything above 2 affixes is a rare map. rare maps as drops always have 4 to 6 affixes. up to 3 prefix and 3 suffix. corrupting a map has a 1/4 chance to roll as ANY rare map. this means it can have 4-6 OR 8 affixes! it CANNOT have 7 (seen this alot in 820). it also rerolls the mods the map had before! see this outcome of the vaal orb as: scour the map if not white and apply a special alchemy orb that is capable of rolling 8 mods. the only way to obtain a 3 affix(mod) map is to regal it! if you are not sure how many mods the map has you can always go to the Wiki. There are only few affixes that use 2-3 lines. most common are the speed modifiers, the boss modifiers and bloodlines/nemesis. the only thing that is a bit confusing is that some of the 2 liners are not next to each other. means: the first line of the modifier can appear in the first line of the map mods whereas the 2nd line of the affix can be at the bottom. " It can be confusing I guess yeah. Ruefl2x explained the whole thing quite well, but it definitely isn't all intuitiv. Some kinda of code about this would be helpful indeed, considering those challenges, or just one one line, but maybe that would be too long, I don't know. Anyway, pretty useful suggestion. SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading. Last edited by Fruz#6137 on Jul 9, 2016, 5:23:34 AM

" Thanks for clarifying :) I must admit I haven't done a lot of corrupting maps before, just doing it this time for the challenge. And after I got scammed the first time, I always asked on global 820 for the subsequent maps. The thing is, like u also pointed out, a lot of people there will confidently tell you the wrong thing. Anyway, the point of the thread was to suggest combining those into a single line. They seem kinda redundant to me because most of the 2/3 line mods usually have very similar values. |

i think GGG had good reasons to have multiple lines for one affix.
what they COULD do however (and this would also affect other items) is to make affixes "visible" somehow (and show their tier) much like on poe.trade for example. maybe make this available only when you put it in a crafting device. |

Guys, PoE needed a lot more QoL, not just what OP asking. Its like 99% of game needs it and asap.

" Many people on this forum sure wants to be assisted in every possible way. That does not quite fit PoE, Wraeclast is ( was ?) supposed to be unforgiving. Some QoL changes would be welcome though, sure. SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

I think it would already help if mods with several lines wouldn't have them split with other mods in between. As far as I remember, that was actually the main reason for people miscounting mods last league.
