The exp HORRID NERF that ruined my gameplay.
Why would you delete old chars b/c the build is no longer effective when GGG gives us free respecs every 3 months or so? Never want to try out any builds that require a min. lvl for some equipment? Never thought of respeccing old chars into something new and more modern?
Censored.

Well I believe we are stuck with things the way they are until 2.4, which they have stated will be a total revamp of endgame.

I too agree that the xp nerf was way too much of a nerf. I am lvl 89 and I am forced to grind red maps to get more than 40M an hour. Red maps are very expensive to maintain and even with 100%+ quantity I am still buying 9/10 maps. I have never been able to hit 100 in a 3 month league, only got to 92 or 93. Now I can barely hit 90 and I am playing much more. Not to mention if you play SC and die, it is like losing 10 full map runs...

" 1. Well seems it working as intented. Some other players does reach in that goal, and some players arent. Goodjob GGG. 2. Why would a players who doesnt invest a time and so on except half of it should benefit same amount then those who put more effort and time for it ? I dont understand this arguement are you jealous or something because a people who uses that phrase as they ''defense'' and saying those doesnt have ''a real life ''.. ? 3. Keep playing and eventually you will reach your own ''personal'' goal. 4. That those ''godly builds'' are drop down from a sky to get more ''even'' with a others ? Sounds more that they do care. Goodluck to you. |

" May i ask how much time you use per day to play this game ? I know it may change everyday, but you what i mean ? I still dont understand this when dying in SC is so bad compared to them who play HC leagues. Perhaps its too long time from me when i did even test play SC aspect in D2(classic), but i did quickly moved to HC because of a more fun and challenging aspect in aRPG games. |

Horrible decision indeed, i had an incentive to move towards 91-92 even lvl 94 since there was a progress bar there that i could see moving. Now i am at level 88 and already me and my 2 buddies are loosing interest in the game way before that should be happening. When you move the NOLIFE-MODE experience line 4-5 levels backwards, normal people start loosing interest faster. Nice backlash eh?

It doesnt make sense to stop the players from reaching level 100. THis is Path of Exile, a game where people tend to make new characters over and over again and try out new stuff. So why not let people reach level 100 normaly and then let them reroll a new character?
I think the exp nerf is unjustified. And I'm saying that as a person who has never leveled a character to lvl 90. My highest is HC Prophecy is 84 now and I already started a new char. But I understand those who go for lvl 100 and there's literally no reason to stop or slow them. |

" what do you mean 'normally'? If we take normal to mean the amount of time its taken to get to lvl100 historically then its quicker to get to lvl100 now than it has been for the majority of this games life since release. I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

It's a wide spread assumption that players are tend to reach max level and it's their main end game goal. Discussions on the topic of exp gain begin and end with it, it's waved around as a banner. It's even overused by developers as a legit reason for ingame reworks.
While in reality, progression to 100 was, and is, soft capped. A great percentage of high level characters naturally ended around 92-95. At a certain point progression turns into a tedious mind blowing grind and just the most dedicated of the most dedicated players had the guts and will to continue. Streamers are in a different category and they are completely irrelevant to this particular case. The majority of players just pushed their chars to the point they couldn't handle the exp restrictions, had a high level char to show off as it means something, had their giggles in the VIP +90 club, and that's it. What happened after the exp nerf is, that ggg just lowered the bar and urged the players to abandon characters at lower levels, than they were used to. If in the past 92-95 was where a sane individual gonna stop, now it's 89-92. Progression past 80 turned into tedious business, +85 is terribly annoying. I repeat, it's not about reaching 100, it's about the feeling of a "finished" character. Those "100 at any cost" will go there anyway even now, just a bit slower. GGG are trying to trim the overall feeling of "too fast" which was brought by the transformation into a fast paced MMO infested with power creep, but this change makes completely no sense in this aspect, and nothing constructive won't happen. Exactly the opposite, it's counter productive. This is a buff © 2016 The Experts ™ 2017 Last edited by torturo#7228 on Jul 7, 2016, 6:34:19 AM
