I feel like we're being a little too harsh to GGG
" Yeah unfortunately Crate back pedaled and isn't planning on doing a standalone client. They said they offered it only because it was fashionable to do so and because they thought players may want a drm free copy. Then they concluded nobody really cared and it was too much work regarding updates so they totally bailed. Bit of a downer but what can you do :/ Deliver pain exquisite

Constructive criticism is important to grow and be productive - aggressive berating is counter productive and childish.
The lag for most of us seems to have increased quite a bit. I watch a lot on twitch, and all the pro players note it. I as well experience it. Lab is not fun for most of us Trading REALLLLY needs more love to make it more user friendly. We want paid/customized leagues Perm leagues need more love These are all real things, that I think we deserve to have reviewed. Many of us spend more "donating" to this game than we would spend on say buying world of warcraft, and paying the monthly sub fee. So, I do feel like we are owed improvements. But, I also do see/experience that they ARE working hard to constantly make the game better, and the communication transparency is pretty kick ass. For me, POE is the only game right now and for the last like 6 or 8 months. I dont see any other game pulling me away so long as they continue to tweak it and keep it fresh. |

Except that lab is fun and I have no lag so your argument is not valid.

" If the number goes down to average 4k player per day on steam from 16k it is piss poor. And less than 0.4% account activity on steam after a "high budget" league release is great in your eyes... ok w/e makes you happy. Also you still havent explained how is having 4k-16k average player per day is good. Did GGG say 4k total players per day in the entire world logged into poe via steam is great? The real hardcore PoE players and the elites sit in town and zoning in and out of their hideouts trading items. Noobs that don't know how to play PoE correctly, kill monsters for items. It's pure fact, it will never change. Welcome to PoE. Last edited by Pewzor#2343 on Jun 21, 2016, 1:38:40 PM

" lol this is such a classical wk response... and I even predicted stupid replies like this in a different thread. https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1683096/page/10#p13415971 The real hardcore PoE players and the elites sit in town and zoning in and out of their hideouts trading items. " Yeah I felt the same. I did buy it and use it on Steam but have since abandoned it after reading they had no plans to do a standalone. They did release a version on GoG (to satisfy the drm free version) but that's stilled tied to an external client and multiplayer isn't supported between GoG and Steam so there's that too. The game is ok. The combat mechanics are really rough around the edges and the overall speed is very slow. The game design is good but you can tell they did it on a tight budget and much of the UI and art assets are really amateurish. Still it has charm. Unfortunately one of the biggest drawbacks is that the entire item and character database is open to alteration. So people are essentially putting together stashes of end game items and sharing them. This means you can open a new account and get all the best gear that second. You can also drop in a blank new hero at max level (they cap it at 75) with all BIS gear. Totally sucks the legitimacy out of grinding as you can even hack items and change their stats. This is all intentional as they want to make the game appealing for modders. In any case, it's not locked down server side like PoE and D3. Deliver pain exquisite

" Could you explain that? I have a lot of games from GoG (but not GD) and they`re all standalone. How is GD different? Last edited by Jojas#5551 on Jun 21, 2016, 1:57:00 PM

" Not sure if this is bait because you still insist that the concurrent number of players = daily number of players. Once you've learned the difference we can resume the discussion. GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

4k-16k daily players cant be real . it have to be more than that . a playerbase like that would mean r.i.p poe soon .
Are you sure guys ? |
