Any of your examples don't make a bit of sense.

PoE and Diablo are both games in THE SAME GENRE. In fact, PoE is what I would call a clone of Diablo. So, it's kind of appropriate to discuss both.

its not a clone . diablo 1 started the genre just because its started it doesnt mean every other game is its clone
i wouldnt call titan quest a diablo clone nor sacred .
do you call red alert series ? war-craft clone or starcraft clone ?

poe plays closer to d1 or d2 more than d3 does

Many many Diablo vets anticipate PoE's release because of Diablo 3's shortcomings.

The diablo series MADE the genre, and other games in the genre are still very very similar.
This does not happen in any other genre, which is why this is the only genre where you can refer to other games as 'diablo clones'.

that is the dumbest thing i've ever heard, I've been playing diablo since I was a kid, and I own all the diablo's games, and yes I know d3 comes out in may But honestly Im not even sure If i wanna buy it anymore, due to all the pushbacks they been doing, and the fact that they are trying to make it somewhat like WoW in in some aspects.

and by letting everyone join this game, is dumb, they want people to test the game and give feedback, not invite the entire world to come play a game that isn't finished yet... you know kind of like Diablo 3 is doing now with its closed beta...

So please if you don't like this game, there are plenty more in this world, move on and good luck.
