Diablo III will crush this game...hell with ur beta!

Its not really, poe has randomly generated zones D3 doesn't and generally looks more like diablo. D3 is just shoddy. You keep trying to say D3 is better but the only argument you have is *Blizzard has money* that doesn't mean they will always make the best games ever, if I hired a billionaire to design a game himself he would make the worst game ever despite the money probably.

How about you give us some reasons why you think D3 is better instead of just saying blizzards rich.

And please don't say crafting as we all know thats going to end up being ignored as mobs will drop better items, the story doesn't count as you have no idea what it is you just know its a diablo story, it could still be god awful, the animations are better I will say but as for skills poe already has more I think and certainly will by the end (100 planned for open beta god knows how many after that) and the support gems make them very interesting, the skill tree is just awesome and D3 has nothing like it, the graphics in poe look a lot better (well less cartoony and more gritty)

The lore delivery system in D3 is quite nice (caine reading it) but the lore I'd say is about the same for both (if you don't believe me go to monsters tab and read the awesome lore or read the story of the area lore). Thats about the only thing I can think D3 wins on.

Oh and poe doesn't have a real money AH making pvp utterly pointless and allowing people to buy power and utterly destroying the game economy and of course in poe you can have more than 4 people in your instance so its more multiplayer friendly

with all the rwt that occurred in d2 it pretty much is, its just blizzard run now.

Well it depends if your definition of a *diablo* is the game mechanics and story or the ability to be obnoxious and get an unfair advantage over others to hide how bad you are.

If its the latter then D3 is very diablo, its got a great system to let people bypass the entire game and the community seem to be just as obnoxious if not more so than I remember from D2

It's pointless arguing the merits of a competing product on this forum. Not sure why I even started. People act like i'm personally insulting them by pointing out the areas where Diablo 3 is a superior game, even after I went out of my way to point out a few good things about PoE.

Well what do you expect in a thread with this title. And the problem is D3 has so few merits right now, I listed them and there wasn't that many. Perhaps more will appear later but for now poe has a lot more merits, especially when you consider that its made by a small company and blizzard has billions and the small company made their game in a far shorter time than the big one.



You just need to face the facts, D3 is mostly going to sell because its part of the diablo franchise. Answer this honestly, if things were reversed, GGG was making diablo 3 (but it is called diablo the first of a new franchise) and blizzard is making PoE 3 (the 3rd installment of a popular franchise), but other than that EVERYTHING is the same which would sell more copies...

I think we all know it would be PoE.

Have you even played Diablo 3? Meet up with me on the beta server and i'll point out some stuff. We can launch the Diablo 3 beta and the PoE beta simultaneously and flip back and forth making comparisons. If you haven't played it, you have no basis for comparison and your fanboyism is showing hardcore. This doesn't have anything to do with who is developing it or that one if an installment in a series and the other is new. Diablo 3 is the better game, even in freaking beta. PoE is a great game for what it is, and is freaking amazing considering it's free. But it has nowhere near the polish as Diablo 3, and it shows.
