It depends on the item type you are looking for, sites like http://poeaffix.net/ are really helpful if you wanna check a specific roll and the ilvl required.
Just to give you something to look for (the main stats are usualy life and res):
gloves
-life: max roll with ilvl 54 -res: max roll with ilvl 84 (acceptable from ilvl 72)
helmet
-life: max roll with ilvl 64 -res: max roll with ilvl 84 (acceptable from ilvl 72)
belt
-life: max roll with ilvl 64 -res: max roll with ilvl 84 (acceptable from ilvl 72)
amulet
-life: max roll with ilvl 54 -res: max roll with ilvl 84 (acceptable from ilvl 72)
ring

how about using empower 3 or 4 , would that bring higher dmg and what would you take out, area/conc or something else
